I just installed the plugin and created a initiator by going to "add target", then I added a lun. I am trying to use the client on windows server 2012 r2, it can see the target but the status shows "inactive". what did I miss?

Hello Guys, I have a poweredge T430 with one cpu in it. I am using one of the x16 slot for perc 330 and I inserted a pcie nvme drive into another x16 slot. Manual says both slots work with CPU1 and I can see the drive in lifecycle inventory. iDRAC has no errors. but, unraid does not boot to the web gui. I can ssh into it but it does not show me the web gui. I cant see any shares either in /mnt. I have tried moving my unraid usb from the internal usb3 port to external usb2 port but doesnt make a difference. removing the pcie nvme boots up the system normally. I can not figure out what the issue is. I have attached the diagnostics. any help is appreciated. Thanks edit: I unplugged the 2 ssd in the SATA ports and it booted normally. not sure how to proceed from here unraid-diagnostics-20210720-1508.zip

Hello guys, I am planning to upgrade from a i3 dual core cpu so that I can run BlueIris (4-6 cameras) on a vm in unraid. I currently have a ryzen 7 1700 in my home pc. My plan is to put in a new Ryzen 5 3600 and motherboard into my home pc and repurpose the Ryzen 7 1700 for unraid. I want advise on if this is a good idea and will ryzen 7 1700 be still ok for atleast the next 5 years or should I buy a recent 8 core Ryzen for unraid. Home pc is being used just for phone backups and some wordprocessing/internet so doesnt need anything powerful. unraid will/is be running plex docker (local stream only), transmission docker, homeassistant vm, windows vm with veeam backup and blueiris, nextcloud docker. I moved my shares to the array to replace the cache disk. once that was done, I changed the shares to cache prefer but they still show as parity protected. how do I fix that? https://imgur.com/a/RFpAVvo I have manually checked and there are no files or folders from those shares on the array. even tried moving data to the shares and then back again but nothing changed. unraid-diagnostics-20200506-1756.zip

Hello Guys, I have installed a quad port ethernet pcie adapter in my unraid. I can see all the 4 ports in the network settings, but when I enable any bonding, I get the message "device bond1 does not exist" on the boot screen. With bonding disabled, all 4 ports get an ip address and work fine but with bonding enabled, the lights on the switch go off. I have a managed switch and have tried with both LACP on and LACP off. I have tried the usb in a different port, also tried deleting all entries from the network.cfg file. Please helpunraid-diagnostics-20190319-1236.zip

Hello Guys, I want to use the storage on my unraid with my esxi6.5 lab since the lab does not have any available slots. I have a gigabit wired connection from the esxi host to unraid but I feel that the speed is not good enough. I want to use a quad port ethernet adapter in my unraid nas so I can use all the 4 ports on the esxi host to connect to unraid. The ethernet card I am looking at is Dell YT674, seller says it works fine in windows pc after they install the drivers from dell. But how will I install the drivers on unraid? or should it be plug and play when inserted into unraid? thanks

Hello Guys, I am trying to run esxi6.7 as a VM on unraid6.6. I have done a CPU host passthrough and assigned it all 4 threads of my i3-6100. When I get to the installation, I get the error <HARDWARE_VIRTUALIZATION WARNING: Hardware Virtualization is not a feature of the CPU or is not enabled in the BIOS>. I have checked the BIOS and it is enabled. I have attached the screenshot of the error. Any help is appreciated

Thank you for the video and I get about 90MB/sec at times and as low as 3-4 MB/sec at other times. Yet to figure out why it varies so much.

Hello People, VM manager has not worked for me for a long time now and now that I need to run a VM, I want to get it started. I have given the libvirt storage location as `/mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img` but I can not start VM services. I have also tried changing the location of libvirt but still no go. update - I got the video running but I am getting some real bad stutter on any videos I play. Even youtube stutters bad. What could be causing that? I am running a i3-6100 and 2 cores assigned to windows10 VM with 4 gb memory assigned. The video card I have is 1gb version of GT 710. Thanks

I was able to get the network running. Also I do have HVM and IOMMU enabled. I am able to passthrough the GT 710 fine (I think!!!), but in device manager I see a yellow triangle(screenshot attached) and code 43 and I do not see any video output. LibreElec however works fine and displays video. I have tried installing drivers multiple times in windows10 but no go. Please help!!!

Hello Guys, I am planning to use the unraid box as a htpc by installing win10 VM. Currently I do not have a video card in it. To be able to play sound on the TV via cdmi cable, can I just throw in the cheapest GPU available (currently 1G R5-230 Asus or 1G GT710 Gigabyte )? Also my windows VM does not show any network connection, I have tried both virbr0 and br0 network bridge. The br0 option works fine with another centOS VM on the same computer. Thanks

tried both those options but no go. This time I get a different error. I have attached the screenshot. What I think the issue is that the mac is not able to associate the name of server "UNRAID" to its ip address, could that be the issue? Is there an equivalent of windows hosts file that I can play with?

If I select guest, the username/password prompt box shakes a little and brings me back to the same prompt. I have attached a screenshot of the share settings

Hello Guys, I recently started using a unraid share to do my mac backups via Time Machine. It works fine when I mount the sparsebundle but after a restart when I go to Time Machine and try to initiate a backup, I get a prompt for a username and password. I do not have any username/password set on the unraid computer other than the default "root" account that is built in. I try to put that in but for some reason it doesn't like it. Please advise what do I need to do to sort this out. I have attached a screenshot. Thanks
