  1. Requesting support for Adaptec HBAs, 6805H and 7805H. Thank you.
  2. Any luck in getting adaptec 6805H support added? Adaptec HBA's are pretty decent. Cheers.
  3. Good stuff. Thank you to all that shared. MLP rocked, my daughter loved it as well
  4. For sale is a combo package: Gently used to test out unRAID: Supermicro X9SCL Intel Xeon E3-1220 4 x 2GB DDR3-1333 ECC Asking $old Location: Montreal, Canada. Ship to USA/Canada. heatware under anabioz: https://www.heatware.com/u/31052
  5. Thank you. Now that was useful. Cheers.
  6. https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Files_on_the_unRAID_flash_drive " Backing up the unRAID flash drive[edit] It is recommended to always keep your unRAID flash drive backed up. Once in awhile, you should make a copy of all files and folders to an external drive. For daily backups, just copy the /config folder, with its files and folders. The /config folder contains all of your settings and unRAID configuration. Ideally this backup should be made with the array stopped. " That's that was needed. Thanks.
  7. Didn't help. I did use search. "USB Recovery" didn't provide significant search results.
  8. So here is a topic to discuss * in case this happens*. unRAID boots off a USB drive and contains all of the OS data on it. Including the purchased key and the array configuration. How what do we do if the USB fails and a new one is replaced? Well I put that to a test today... I got a brand new flash usb drive and booted off it... Unfortunately none of the drive assignment was automatically picked up, which leads me to believe there is no meta data at play here which would mark each drive as being used in an array and in particular order... Question to experienced community: 1) Should the USB Flash Drive be occasionally backed up? dd'ed? 2) Anything in particular should be backed up from the USB Flash Drive? 3) Maintenance? Cheers.
  9. unRAID has come a long way
  10. I've noticed that Live syslog feed within a browser (Chrome) creates a relatively big cpu load. (clicking on log during launching "Mover") Client side ~ 150MB of memory imprint (and growing) + ~ 15% CPU Time (i7 quad+ HT CPU) and server side about 9-15% CPU time (E3-1270v2). That was unexpected. Known issue? Specs: E3-1270v2 X9SCL 4 x 8GB DDR3-1600 ECC 2 x 1TB Mushkin ECO2 (SSD Cache Pool) 3 x 4TB WD RE4 (Data) 1 x 4TB Seagate NAS (Parity) 1 x 4TB HGST Deskstar (Parity)
  11. Tops. Easy installation and configuration.
  12. I use uBlock Origin. Whitelisted the host and all is displayed. Case closed. Cheers.
  13. Created a share and called it 'unraid'. Assigned user permissions (created 3 users). I see the share in place on the dashboard: --- Name Description Security Streams unraid Secure 0 --- The share is accessible by assigned users. However when I navigate to 'Shares' tab to manage the share, the list is empty? unRAID6 beta23. CHeers.
  14. Doesn't hurt for one to ask. And if it is not an option, may be replace emhttp with apache or nginx, that way I can configure it myself. Cheers.
  15. When you live in a house-hold with more than 2 computers and used by more than 3 people, I still don't trust anybody with http traffic
  16. And you would use "removepkg PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz " to remove a package respectively. Just stating the obvious while learning more about uNRAID. Thanks.

  18. I've searched the forum and I have found similar posts, but no clear solution. Running 6.2 beta23. Some of the answers found were related to DNS resolution and network setup. Mine is pretty simple, no binding used. Single nic and static ip/dns assignment.
