  1. For sure, it's just a routine maintenance type activity. For a few months I had disabled the parity check tuning plugin to try to expedite the process a bit, but my users were seeing heavy lag while navigating libraries, and other various quirks with plex while the parity check was running. Re-enabled the parity check tuning to run overnight from like midnight to 9am until completed. It also didn't help that in this past July 1st parity check we were in a heat wave and the server was running very hot as it was. Yeah, I'm curious if maybe there's a way to use Tautulli to detect streams, and send a command to Unraid to pause/restart the parity check.

I'm very new to LMS and trying to set this up for the first time, but my logs are full of this and I can't access the webui. Any suggestions?
  3. Yeah, that's my current solution, just want to ideally finish the parity check as quickly as possible by running whenever there's no Plex activity. As it stands, it takes almost 2 days with a 14TB and 12TB dual parity.
  4. If I can tack onto this, I'd love if there were a way to pause the parity check when there's Plex activity, and resume when there is no Plex activity. Can anyone think of a way to do this?
  5. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but with the whole DDoS issues lately (which apparently is patched), I'd like to put my Plex instance behind a reverse proxy. I've got swag configured following SpaceInvaderOne's great videos, and have may other services already running, but my only question is whether it's safe to change the network from Host to the custom docker network (aka "proxynet" in SpaceInvader's video). I believe once you've got Plex running behind the reverse proxy, you can add a variable to the Plex container "ADVERTISE_IP" set to the subdomain:443 which will populate the "Custom server access URLs" in the Network settings.
  6. Hello, In the past 3+ weeks I've been experiencing random issues with my docker containers. It is not limited to one single container, but seems to affect most, if not all. Plex will be slow to load libraries, if at all. Sonarr/Radarr frequently can't communicate with qbittorrent despite being on the same docker network. While the issues I'm having present themselves with the containers primarily (all webuis seem slow to load), I do experience general slowness loading pages in the Unraid WebUI as well, and when the issues get worse, I am unable to use the webui or terminal to execute a system Reboot or Shutdown. When I started experiencing issues the first time, I decided to enlist the help of a friend and I moved away from using the cache drives and configured them as a zfs mirror pool for appdata. While this seemed to solve the issue for a short time (about 11-12 days) I am again experiencing issues with all of the same problems I was having before. I'm hoping I've captured the relevant information for someone to assist me. I'm relatively a noob when it comes to this stuff. This is what info says: Model: Custom M/B: ASRockRack X470D4U Version - s/n: BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version P3.30. Dated: 11/04/2019 CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core @ 3800 MHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 768 KiB, 6144 KiB, 65536 KiB Memory: 64 GiB DDR4 Multi-bit ECC (max. installable capacity 128 GiB) Network: bond0: fault-tolerance (active-backup), mtu 1500 eth0: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 eth1: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 Kernel: Linux 4.19.107-Unraid x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.1.1d Uptime: 1 day, 19:46:09 The 2 zfs drives are 2TB Sabrent Rocket 4.0 m.2s although the motherboard only supports 1 m.2 at PCIe3.0 and the other at PCIe2.0. I've grabbed the diagnostics and can grab anything else that might be needed. I'm running with the Unraid Nvidia plugin on 6.8.3, but eagerly awaiting the 6.9.0 release. fawkes-diagnostics-20210118-1105.zip
  7. This is awesome and I'm super glad you got around to creating this video for everyone. I am however having issues with meetings with more than 2 users when I'm connected from my LAN. As soon as a third user connects, video and audio stop for me, but the rest of the users in the meeting are still able to chat. If I connect from outside of my local network, I can join the meeting. I've checked my jvb docker logs and there's a lot of errors about "INFO: ICE state is FAILED", "INFO: Suspicious ICE connectivity failure. Checks failed but the remote end was able to reach us.", and a few others. I've done some googling and troubleshooting with a friend and we haven't been able to resolve the issue. I tried updating the DOCKER_HOST_ADDRESS to my WAN IP in .env, I tried updating the STUN server to a google one as my friend did, I tried updating the sip-communicator.properties as per this link, and so far nothing has worked to allow me to join a meeting with more than 2 people from my local network. Somewhat defeats the purpose if I can't join meetings from my local network. Anyone else having issues like this?
  8. I absolutely love Unraid for its simplicity. You don't have to be an experienced Linux person to get up and running and create the media server you've always wanted. The forums are super helpful if you do run into trouble. I've never regretted going Unraid back in 2016 to replace my windows 8.1 storage spaces.
  9. Ok, thanks. I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue, am I alone in this? Just seems to reach some limit (whether simultaneous or not) and then will just stop using the GPU until a docker restart.
  10. Alright, good to know. Still very excited about this project. I'm currently using the plex-inc docker, could there be any differences if I were to switch to the linuxserver.io docker?
  11. OK, fair enough, based on videos of Plex in Windows running the P2000, I've seen ~20 transcodes but then be bottlenecked by the CPU (which hopefully isn't an issue in my case running a 2700X). I'm just not sure why it stops trying to use the GPU until a docker restart. Are there any logs I can post that would be helpful?
  12. Had a friend help me stress-test after I restarted the docker and confirmed HW was working. He opened up 20+ tabs and started streaming, but only 6 of these showed as HW transcodes. Running a P2000 so I would assume there's no limit to number of transcodes, and I confirmed the maximum simultaneous transcode setting was set to unlimited. After that, Plex would not use the GPU for transcodes until I restarted the docker again. I do have Emby setup, and paid for a monthly premiere pass to be able to test, but haven't had a chance to stress test it yet. Not at home currently, but I can provide anything needed to help troubleshoot.
  13. @saarg seems a restart of the docker was in order but I find it strange that it just all of a sudden stopped working. Should I expect to have to restart the docker every few days to keep it working?
  14. Interesting. I have seen it working since I set it up on Monday, and had actually seen it working earlier that night. I'll have to investigate with another stream to see if there's an issue.
  15. Out of curiosity, today I had 2 transcoded streams going, but none of Tautulli, Plex, nor nvidia-smi showed that hardware acceleration was being used. Does this indication go away if the transcoder has completely transcoded the file and the stream is playing off the completed transcode? Transcoder progress showed 100% for both of these streams.
