Preclear plugin
What would anticipate the speeds to be on a USB enclosure for preread? It is USB 3 but only getting like 35MB/sec. I think it’s on a hub though, may be the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know this is the shotgun approach but I had a similar issue and ended up uninstalling the plugin, rebooting the server and reinstalling. I had nothing in the logs as well.

Can you confirm we can still replace scripts as stated in the original post? My recent re-install doesn’t show any .sh files in the preclear directory and any attempt to add one does not make it available in the preclear drop down.

OK, thank you. It seems something may have changed at some point. I appreciate the help. I attempted to download the 2018.03.29 version and edit the .plg file as mentioned above but that didn't give me a different script either. I haven't rebooted yet though. I think I want to run the bjp edited script from the console but my google is no good for that so far. All the threads I find relate to this thread (sorry if I missed it) or just a thread saying the plugin doesn't work. It would appear this is semi-dangerous in that if you type the wrong device it would wipe/zero out the drive so I want to be sure of what I'm typing. Can you point me in the right direction? I know there has been plenty of discussion about this particular plugin so maybe if we can point to the new script that apparently works and how to run it from the console, screen, whatever that may help end this thread and give you guys one post to point back to. Thanks again

I did this. However, I didn't see any other *.sh files in that directory which makes me think something isn't right. Do I need to stop and start the array or anything?

I'm not doing something right. I'm under the flash and found the directory then placed the script in the directory and renamed it but it still has the old script name when I run the plugin. I'm missing something somewhere. Help? Thanks. For reference I'm trying a different script because it keeps stalling at 99% on zeroing.

This is reporting as updated yesterday but I don't see any details. I only details from previous update, any ideas what was fixed/changed? 2018.05.03 Fix: script not completely zeroing the disk

Preclear plugin
This probably isn't the correct thread to reply to but it is related. Earlier some made mention of the preclear utility to clear the disk. Is there anything in unRaid or a user created plugin to do a DOD wipe similar to the Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN) boot disk.

Plex: Guide to Moving Transcoding to RAM
Is anyone using the Plex docker from Plex themselves and able to use this? I think I have it set up correctly but it appears to be just writing to the docker.img instead of /tmp. I have /transcode<-->/tmp set up in the docker and /transcode as the temp directory in the Plex application. However, no files appear to ever be written to this directory but the docker image seems to be "modified" every minute a movie is playing. Additionally if a movie plays long enough I get warnings that the docker image is taking up more and more space. Does the "official" Plex docker not obey the settings or have I done something silly?

Preclear plugin
Is this working on 6.3.2? I just put in a 5 in 3 cage and it I can see the drives in unassigned devices but when I click preclear nothing happens. When I go to the tools menu and click preclear I get this with the spinning animation. Please wait... retrieving information! Thanks

I don't recall the disc packaging looking abnormal. Standard Newegg packaging, sealed drive with black holders in an small box and that box inside another. I don't think it was bubble wrapped like I think the WD 8TB reds are. So you think another preclear and see what happens? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[Support] binhex - Plex
I wanted to add something else. Two different forum posts have found issues with the latest version. One said AC3 was broken on Chromecast and another stated something like anything lower than Roku4 had audio issues I believe. Is it possible to add something to specify which version to install? I think other threads have made mention of this or the ability to roll back. Thanks again.

[Support] binhex - Plex
Sorry if I missed it but is there a way to update this via the web gui or do we wait for you to update the docker? It says version 1.2.6.2975 is out and to install it manually. That leads to an *.rpm download on my windows machine which I don't think I can apply to the docker myself. Thanks.
