Looks like I'm ordering a 2nd processor Its not a requirement, I have an older SuperMicro SATA controller that does I believe 8 and it doesn't have raid or anything built in but I don't think it all that fast. Must have been why I got this chip so cheaply.. I'll order a 2nd one

I've been struggling for some time about what mother board to get. I've recently picked up a working new in box Xeon E3 1245 v6 processor as the heart of my new server built. Little sad it only has 4 cores but I got it for $150 so I'm good for now. I've thought about getting a dual socket MB to allow me to at a later date get a 2nd processor.. My requirements are quite simple I think. 1) must support Xeon E3 1245 V6 processor 2) 10 SATA connections 3) ATX form factor (or less) Would be a bonus to have it has a 2nd socket Would be a bonus to have an M.2

I did some looking around and believe this is the correct place to make a docker request. If not Mod Please move to correct location. I have wanted to set up a communications platform for a small volunteer group for some time. I've found this docker PEPS and wanted to know if how to install it on unraid, OR of someone could convert it to run on unraid docker. I do not really want to create a VM just to run a single docker. My Radarr install was working great until I had I had an issue with my cache drive getting full before mover kicked in and moved everything. This caused all sorts of problem with my dockers as they didn't have the available space to run. I removed all my dockers, cleared my cache drive and replaced it with a larger drive. I have since re installed my dockers but for some reason now Radarr is not working correctly. System Info Unraid - 6.3.5 binhex Radarr - Up To Date binhex NZBGet - Up To Date Also Running Sonarr with no issues... Whats Working. Tested Radarr to connect to Indexers (nzbGeek) - Sucessful Tested Radarr to connect to Download Client - Successful nzbGet Test to Eweka - Successful The Problem. When I add a new movies, either from my library or a new title I'd like to add to my library I can do a manual search (my preferred method for movies) Click on the download in the search field and it tells me in the lower right its been added to active que but never shows up in nzbgets. something in the move from sonarr to nzbgets is broken and I've looked an poked around but didn't know what could be wrong.

Both my wife and I use Google Pixel 2 phones and love the unlimited storage of photos and videos. I'd like a way to automate backing up those photos to our unraid server, and use the pictures in our plex server. Curreltly I'm going in once a month downloading both her and my photos / videos from that month and adding them to our respective photo folders in the media share. Is there a docker, or other app that would make this process easier? I've used a few programs to go from the server to google for backups and such but not from google to server. Thanks

I knew i would loose the Ecc support, but with Unraid is ECC worth the expense? I've ordered the replacement 1281v3 its sitting at the post office waiting for Monday

Looking up the suggested processors, thanks for the great suggestions. Is there an advantage to keeping with Xeon processors and not moving to a i5 or i7? As for things that I'd like to get that i currently dont have more on-board sata would be nice, but I have an expansion card if and when i need it.

I know this has been covered thousands of times, I've read 12 or more threads about this very topic but none fit my situation. Currently I'm running - Supermicro - X10SLL-F motherboard - Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1220 v3 @ 3.10GHz Processor - 32GB of ECC Ram My current setup has 5 drives (2 Parity & 3 data) and a single cache drive. I have 2 VM running, one is a simple website, the other is a VDI (not for gaming general web work) I have 5 dockers running about 100% of time time. only one draws much cpu time (plex) Since plex has introduced Live TV my family records about 15 to 20 shows a day, and seems to stream a lot more than usual. I'm getting transcoading issues due to lack of CPU power. I've given Plex full control of 3 of the 4 cores and everything else runs on core #1 I'd like to upgrade processors for more cores to assist in the overload issues. I know my current MB is a few gen old so can anyone assist me in parting out new hardware? Thx

I have two PCIe drives One is Intel SSD 750, the other is an Intel Optane SSD P4800X. Unraid ver 6.3.5 I'd like to move my cache to the P4800x to free up a SATA port.

I use a DLink DSR-500, I'm connected to 5 locations via VPN and send tons of data to and from them each day. I also run a downloader that uses a private VPN that transfers a few TB a day.

Can M.2 or PCE-E drive cards be used as drives in Unraid?

I've misplaced my login (user and pass) for the web interface, is there anyway to reset it? Thx for the great dockers.

Set a static IP in my static IP range and everything came up normal... Just reset all my NAT rules and looks like all is well. Not sure why it stopped working with DHCP but for now all is good

Yeah i tried rebooting everything before even asking for support. But great question I've never used GUI mode anything to be aware of?

Removing the network.cfg and restarting did nothing to resolve the problem. How do I go about disabling the network bridge from command or through the flash drive files? Thx

It was my thought that DHCP isnt running on my router, but its serving up IP address to all other devices on the network. I do have a lease reservation for the Unraid Server and that may be causing problems so I removed the lease. I'm going to try to delete the network.cfg and see if it will work. Thx for the continued support.

Ive replaced the network wires and replaced the network switch and rebooted my router/dhcp server and its still not pulling an IP address. Would setting a static ip be an option? What lines would I need to edit/add in the network.cfg? Thx

Recently updated my unraid and it required a reboot. Upon reboot i was unable to connect to it over my network. Plugged in a monitor and saw the IP was reset to 169.254.210.116 subnet 255.255.0.0 why would this happen?

I've found win10 manages RAM much better than 7 and 8. 4GB should be ample ram for a system not being asked to render video or compress large files. If they are using it to normal work (no heavy 3d gaming, video encoding ect) you'll be just fine. Now i dont have much experience with running windows vm on unraid. My server is currently running two as VDI for me and my wife and they both have 4gb of ram and no dedicated video, and we can do normal day to day computing (youtube, facebook ect ect)

I assumed it was something like that . How do you connect to the docker to config the openvpn? I've looked at the openVPN-AS from linuxserver but haven't found a good getting started guide. thx

Was not sure if this is the correct forum, if not mod please move. I've been running a VM for my OpenVPN server. It was migrated from my older vmware server once i updated my unraid. What would be the advantage to moving this to a docker app? Is the setup and configuration difficult? Thanks for any input. Brian

While poking around my dashboard I noticed the Flash : Log : Docker and the Flash is at 100%, should i be worried? EDIT.. Looks like my flash drive is corrupt, its only showing 64MB not 8GB.. so I need to get that fixed first

If i go into the adv settings in my VM update i dont have an option to choose anything other than virbr0, I went into VM manager and checked the default network bridge and only have the virbr0 option as well. Is something missing? I'm also in the middle of a parity check, and waiting to upgrade to unraid OS 6.2.4
