  1. Just wanted to update, I heard back from SD and it does appear the issue was on there end. I re-ran the cron job, and everything loaded just fine! I also wanted to chime in on the issue being discussed of nearly empty data taking the place of the correct cached data when its not supposed to. I have had the issue a couple of times as well, where SD has an issue and it will pull down a mostly empty file and xteve loads it in anyway erasing whatever correct data it had cached. The last time this happened was yesterday, I hadn't noticed the update to using the new yaml files so I went to go watch TV and had no data. I came here saw there was a change, and immediately generated the new yaml files I needed, ran the cron job and everything was fine. but over night guide2go pulled in new data from SD, which was having issues with one of my lineups, so every channel using that lineup now had no data. Thus why I posted here this morning. The time prior to that, all of my channels lost their icons because SD was having an issue.
  2. Ive submitted a ticket with SD. Hopefully they will be quick.
  3. I did make sure I was in the correct directory when running the command. I have 3 lineups and 2 of them seem to be working. Like I said when I first did the new setup yesterday I edited my new yaml files and created the xml files and everything seemed to have worked just fine. it wasn't until this morning that all the data for 1 of my lineups is gone, and i cant get it to download again.
  4. I am having this exact same issue. I actually came here to post this almost word for word. When I did everything last night it seemed ok, I woke up today and most EPG data is gone and I noticed the exact same error.
  5. I signed up for Backblaze B2 and the problem just magically went away. lol This was not the only issue I've had with Crashplan, but it will be last. Thank you for your help.
  6. I believe you may have been right. I had to try and do something so I just started shutting down containers until my CPU usage dropped. When I saw how big of a difference Crashplan made, I pinned it to a single core. now that single core is maxed out, and the rest of my CPU looks normal. But I had this problem once before with crashplan, probably close to 2 years ago. I fixed it back then and it has not been an issue since. Any idea why it Would suddenly became a problem again?
  7. hmm, ok. I just ssh in and ran "top" im seeing several things with useage in the 20's, but im not sure what to do about any of them. They don't appear to be any of my containers that i have running. One of them is Firefox, could that be because im booted in GUI mode? Interestingly enough if I run htop instead my CPU usage looks normal. But that doesn't change the fact that something is clearly wrong, my server is so over loaded Im going to have to reboot soon or noone can watch TV. But I really need to figure out why this keeps happening. Its so bad that not only is Plex not working, but the web UI for Unraid is just barely responsive.
  8. Hey guys, this is the second time this has happened this week. The wife and kids are watching Plex and suddenly its starts to stutter and eventually stops playing. I remote into the server from work to see 100% CPU usage on all cores of my Ryzen 5 2600. The first time I assumed it was the parity check that was running that was causing the issues, so I stopped it and rescheduled it for later and after a reboot everything was fine. But this time there was no parity check running, the mover wasn't running, Im not sure whats causing this issue. I decided NOT to reboot this time, and instead downloaded the diag (attached) and let it run it course. It did eventually stop and go back to normal CPU usage...but this shouldn't happen to begin with, and idk whats causing it. UPDATE: Wife just told me its been fine all day until around 2:00-2:30 this afternoon. Its currently 5:13 as Im typing this where I am. serverus-diagnostics-20200612-1702.zip
  9. Atleast its not just me. Ive noticed i can still play movies and TV for now, I just cant switch users.
  10. Just checked https://status.plex.tv/ and there are currently issues with "Authentication and API server". could this be my issue with missing users?
  11. Hey guys, running the latest plex pass version on unraid 6.8.3. I have just today started running into major issues with Plex. Earlier today the plex container crashed, and I have no idea why, it had been running beautifully. I restarted the container and when it started back up all users were gone and I could only login as my main user. I restarted the container again and everything was fine. Here I am about 3hours later, and it crashes again. This time no amount to restarting the container is helping. When I click in the unraid UI to show the log for the container, nothing jumps out at me as bad. Im not sure what to do, but I have a new born and a very pissed wife right now. 😵
  12. Ok it’s happened again, and when it’s building the xml I am noticing 100% CPU and 100% RAM. I don’t have enough channels to warrant “splitting”, I just need to remove most of the channels from the lineup. Can this be done by just deleting the channel from the .json file? right now I’m downloading the full dish network lineup and the full Shaw direct lineup, but I only have about 100 channels actually mapped. So I really just need to remove channels I don’t need.
  13. Im going to keep an eye on this, but it looks like it may have just been a fluke. All the file are up to date as of this morning, and everything looks fine.
  14. ### List of created lineup json files in /guide2go # sample with 3 jsons lineups, adjust to yours JsonList="1.json ca.json" My directory is different from default so my command reflects that change. root@SERVERUS:~# ls -la /mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/guide2go/*.json -rw-rw-rw- 1 relink users 117799 Feb 27 04:55 /mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/guide2go/1.json -rw-rw-rw- 1 relink users 88383 Feb 27 00:06 /mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/guide2go/ca.json -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 273513945 Feb 27 06:26 /mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/guide2go/cache_1.json -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 382159992 Feb 27 00:42 /mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/guide2go/cache_ca.json
  15. So I ran into an issue this morning. I have 2 lineups. 1 in the US and 1 in Canada. It would appear that the CA one has been updating but the US one has not. Since most of my channels are US based I woke up to plex only showing 2 channels in my guide, the 2 Canadian channels I have. I am currently manually running ; docker exec -it xteve_guide2go ./config/cronjob.sh and im watching my US lineup cache grow, so I assume its pulling down new data now, but why didn't it do it automatically? what should I check, that seems odd.
  16. how can i increase the number of days of data? it seems to default to 7
  17. Ah ok, I got it now. There is just a few missing details for someone who doesn't know how Schedules Direct works, or how Guide2Go works. Let me see if I can help a little bit for new users who don't know some of this stuff. My guide will use the defaults or suggestions for as much as possible. it not meant to be thorough, its meant to get you going. 1. Install the docker with all the default and suggested mappings. Container Path: /root/.xteve <> /mnt/user/appdata/xteve/ Container Path: /config <> /mnt/user/appdata/xteve/_config/ Container Path: /guide2go <> /mnt/user/appdata/xteve/_guide2go/ Container Path: /tmp/xteve <> /tmp/xteve/ Container Path: /TVH <> /mnt/user/appdata/tvheadend/data/ << not needed if no TVHeadend is used the only change I made was I renamed my “xteve” folder to “xteveG2G”. I only did this because I had a current installation of Xteve that I didn’t want to interfere with. 2. Go to “/mnt/user/appdata/xteve/_config/” and open “cronjob.sh” with a text editor. (Im using Atom) 1. Put a “yes” next to the API options you need and “no” by the ones you don’t. 2. Edit the JsonList with the channel lineups you want to have. Doesn’t have to be specific, just remember what it is. I literally made mine “1.json” and that’s it. 3. Put in your Xteve IP and Port Number 4. Setup either Emby or Plex, instructions are in the file, or you can google it. I don’t use Emby, but plex wasn’t too hard to figure out. 5. I don’t use TVHeadend with this so im not sure what needs to be done if you do. 6. Save the file and close it. 7. In the same folder you can leave the 2 “sample” files alone unless you want to change those settings from the default. 3. Now start the docker and open a terminal in unraid, I used the built in unraid web terminal which can be accessed from the top bar to the left of the power button. 1. Issue the following command; docker exec -it xteve_guide2go guide2go -configure /guide2go/1.json Notice the json file is the same as you put in the cronjob.sh file you edited earlier. 2. Follow the setup prompts, the setup process is very self explanatory. As for the lineup to pick that’s upto you. I personally chose the Dishnetwork option that had my locals too. 4. Once your done setting up here, then run the next command. docker exec -it xteve_guide2go ./config/cronjob.sh This will actually start pulling down the data, and it can get pretty big so give it some time. 5. Once the data has been downloaded now its time to set it up in Xteve. 1. in Xteve add a new XMLTV file with the local path of “/guide2go/1.xml”. Again notice it’s the same name as before but now its an XML file. So your lineup names will carry through. 6. That’s pretty much it, now you just need to go to each channel, set its XMLTV file and Channel and your done. 7. OPTIONAL FOR PLEX: I ran into an issue loading the xmltv file into Plex DVR using HTTP (which is how your supposed to do it). So I came up with a simple work around. Find the folder where “xteve.xml” is located, and map that folder into your Plex container. So far example: My Xteve.xml is in “/mnt/user/appdata/xteveG2G/data/” so I mapped that folder to “/epg” in my Plex container. Now when I went to setup my DVR I put the XMLTV path as “/epg/xteve.xml” instead of using the URL from xteve like usual. As far as setting up Xteve and Plex or Emby there are plenty of guides for that so I don’t need to get too specific. Sorry if I missed anything, I wrote this very quickly.
  18. I really want to use the xteve_guide2go container but I'm completely lost. I current use plain xteve, so I understand how to use use xteve. Where Im lost is how do I setup the guide2go portion? I don't understand any of the readme. What json file? where does it come from? how does it get there? how do i make sure it stays up do date? how do I run those commands? how do I actually get the info from guide2go into xteve? It also may not help that I have never really used schedules direct before. I had it back a few years ago when i used nextpvr, and nextpvr just had a login field for schedules direct and it did the rest automatically. Would anyone mind explaining how to get this going in a more step by step way? I hate being "that guy" but I really just don't get this one, and it doesn't seem to be popular enough for Google to be helpful.
  19. So I found an insane solution for those of us who want the nice slick Wireguard UI that Unraid provides, all while being able to access everything! Now im going to start by saying this is kind of stupid, and ill likely stop using this setup once the issue of not being able to access dockers and VMs gets fixed. So here it is...run a second unraid machine. Now to clarify, The Wireguard UI is plugin, which means it doesn't need the array running in order to work. So I took a little Intel based micro computer I had lying around, made an unraid USB and booted up. I skipped right past the license screen, didn't even sign up for a trial key, nothing. I just went straight to plugins page installed the CA App Store, and then installed Wireguard. From there I set it up like normal. You probably should go to users and set a password though. Now I can access everything on my LAN including all the Dockers and VMs on my main unraid tower. And it is running great so far. I feel a little wasteful using a core i5 to run a wireguard server, but hey, it wasn't doing anything else, and unraids wireguard implementation is worth it.
  20. Sorry if this has been solved and I just didn't catch it. Almost every one of my docker containers has a custom IP address. Has there been any solution to connecting to docker containers with a custom IP yet? I disabled "Local server uses NAT:" and setup a static route in my router and it did absolutely nothing. I can access my unraids web UI just fine as well as other physical machines on my network. I just cant access most of my dockers.
  21. I was in the middle of rebooting when I posted, and if it had messed up again I was going to pull it. But since everything was fine on reboot I cant get the diagnostics now since I have rebooted. I know I should have pulled it on first boot when i realized something was wrong, but I have a wife and son who are both sick and wanted Plex back. lol
  22. Ok, I just rebooted and everything is fine now. guys...I love you...I really do, but that is a terrifying thing to reboot to after an update. I hope 6.9 goes much smother than 6.7 and 6.8 have gone.
  23. I just updated from 6.6.7 to 6.8 and upon first reboot ALL of my array disks are missing. Cache is fine. My array disks are on an LSI raid card that connects to a HP SAS expander. I have had no issues with this setup prior to this. The cache disks are on the motherboards sata ports.
  24. That's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks for that. Out of curiosity if I'm using the GPU in Plex, will I still be able to connect a monitor and see the unRAID terminal? <Not necessary, just curious.
