  1. Ok I understand, but this was my only solution to attach some drives. Thanks
  2. Hello, I have a problem that happens only sometimes, when I turn in my server some disks may change IDs and so are no more recognised as the array disks and the array doesn't start saying it's missing the hard drive. The hard drive is showed up in the unassigned devices with a different id. I have external usb3 jbod with 4 disks connected with USB-c. If I reboot again the server there is a chance that they get they're id back and the array starts. Thanks
  3. I'm gonna set the topic to SOLVED i figured out why: Used this configurations Set both MTU on vm and server to 9000 And the SMB2 config on samba
  4. Hello, i experience very slow speed when transfering a big file from Server to a VM or any pc connected to the server. For example it starts at 1.3Gbit/s for a couple of seconds and then drops to 1mb/s or kb/s. The disk usage in the pool shows 1mb/s. This is reading from the disk and not writing to disk(ram) and it should be fast as the speed of the drive which is 130/180mb/s i don't understand. My guess is probably some files are still in RAM but if i transfer for example a 7GB Movie from server to VM or PC is 20/mb/s instad of 100+ Someone have any idea? Thanks. This is what iperf is reporting: Looks fast to me but the file transfer is still at 1mb/s / 20mb/s This what a transfer looks like: FROM Server to VM (using disk speed)
  5. Hi, i created a virtual connection using this comment I'm able to select the virbr1 when creating a VM but i can't see it in network settings as virbr1-nic There's something else to do?
  6. I tested and is not working, I found out that running Windows in safe mode works every time.. any idea?
  7. Hello! As stated in the title, my windows VM only works if the GPU has never been used, after I shutdown the VM and start again it freezes at windows (dots) loading screen and I have to reboot the whole system. Edit: I completely forgot to add information about the system: CPU is a thread ripper 1950x GPU is a Radeon 290 The GPU is not the first one in the slot, I have a dedicated GPU for unraid Any suggestions? Thanks
  8. I added this to test. it was normal before and the performance was the same
  9. Hi, C State is now Enabled and was on Auto Changed the cores and IDE to SATA But performance is still the same.
  10. So i can't trim mine becouse is on the array
  11. Thanks, i will try to check if C State is on or off. I tested with CrystalDiskMark on windows and the perfomance is like 40MB/s on the 4KiB Q8T8 (read and write) and almost 3GB/s on the Seq so something is wrong. I don't think you can trim XFS format, correct me if im wrong I will try this too
  12. Hi, im running a VM with Windows 10 on it, the overall performance of the machine is not bad but when i try, for example, resizing a window or navigate through folders "explorer" starts lagging but not the mouse and everything else. Im running on a test machine with one NVME disk only on the array no cache disks. CPU: Threadripper 1950x GPU: R9 290 DISK: (nvme0n1) xfs If you got any idea please let me know. 16. Hello I tried to passthrough my R9 290 with Threadripper 1950x (Motherboard: Asus Prime x399-a Updated to the last BIOS) without success. The passthrough works with SeaBIOS but not with OVMF. Things i tried: Editing the flash options adding video=efifb:off allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 vfio-pci.ids=card id, sound card id vfio-stub.ids=card id, sound card id Dumping the vbios and using it in the passthrough configuration The GPU is in the first slot of the motherboard and is the only card i have installed. The only thing that the screen does when i start the VM is turning black with no signal. Someone can help? Thanks
  17. Hello, why in my network settings page the interface is duplicated as eth2 and eth3 but in the list there is no eth2? As you can see in this screen the mac address are duplicated for eth2 and 3. Also why i can't connect to 172.16.10.1 ? I'm only using port eth3 but the settings looks right to me.
