What version of unRaid are you using. I was having the same issue and Prostuff had said there was an issue with Beta10's mover not moving.

I am running crappy Vista (worst OS alive) and from the printers screen I hit the add a printer button. Then I chose add a network, wireless or bluetooth printer. from there I selected add a printer using a tcp/IP address or hostname For device I selected TCP/IP device and then put 192.168.0.181:9100 as the port. Protocol is Raw and the port number is 9100.

yeah that's what I did. When I initiate a print, according to the log it says it starts but no bytes are being sent/received... Sorry Kyle for being a moron...

I figured I didn't have to do the first 3 things because its already set up to print on my mac (maybe I'm wrong) and I figured I shouldn't be getting a samsung driver because I don't have a samsung printer...am I just being obtuse?

Hello, This may sound stupid but how do I write to a private network drive. I'm the only one with access to write to the drive and I've tried mapping it but it still won't let me. Worse yet, I can't delete the path to it either. I'm using a crap Vista machine and hit the map network drive. Everythings good and I even remember to connect using a different user name but when it brings it up it won't let me write to it. What am I doing wrong? Is there any way better? It's a share that the nephews don't have access to but I'm afraid that with a little bit of looking they'll be able to get in. Sorry if this is in the wrong area.

Ok. As far as I can read on the syslog the WINDOZE machine is connected to the server but its not sending/receiving any of the information to print? Any ideas? It prints out ok on my MAC. would probably help if I included the actual syslog, huh? syslog-2011-08-27.txt

Are you putting in http://tower? My MBP never seemed to work and I always had to type in the actual address.

If there's nothing in the power configuration for WOL would the jumper setting on the mobo still be there? Mine just has PCI/PCIE device (I'm using the onboard nic), External modems, pS2 keyboard, ps2 mouse and RTC alarm.

Once thiis all set up and running fine Can I uninstall GCC and BZip off my flash? Also - Mine also fails to print and I'm pretty sure all my settings are the same. Hello! Running Beta11 and I've encountered another MAC issue. unRaid wants to create a network trash folder and a temporary items folder and add .appledouble files all over the place. Is there a way to not have these show up/delete these like with a cron script? I thought Beta11 would have fixed it but not so much and a search doesn't really help out. The files/folders are just kind of a pain.

Hmm...I don't even seem to have either an AVAHI or SAMBA folder....This is why my sidebar has SKYNET and SKYNET - SMB on the side, correct?

Yeah I foolishly assigned it to disk 3 and now it wants it on there. After I copy all the information on there I wanna run an initconfig scan or skip that and do the restore button?

I've got another 2TB sitting in the array not assigned anywhere....I'm trying to figure out how to attach any screen shots under 192 kb. syslog-2011-08-18.txt

I actually got lazy and added in the few prompts that you do on the command line to the end of the go file. *shrug* it works.

Ok damnit. I messed this up bad. Let me start by saying my Cache drive was getting full because mover was not writing to the array (I'm not sure what I had wrong but the syslog from unmenu says that I didn't have enough space when that was wrong. So now I wanted to at least get those movies off of the cache drive so I figured if I put it in a regular data slot I could get it out. Not so much. Now the stupid array won't start until I put that disk back and I can't replace it with another HD (that's just been sitting in the case and not assigned anywhere for no reason). WTF? First how do I fix this problem Second How do I fix the mover
