  1. I am debating whether to get CRS305-1G-4S+IN or CRS309-1G-8S+IN. CRS305-1G-4S+IN will meet my current requirements of 4 nodes but CRS309-1G-8S+IN will allow me to expand if needed. Anyway, did you configure VLAN switching on CRS305-1G-4S+IN or all connected nodes are on the same subnet? Currently, my main PC is on VLAN 20 and my two ESXI(s) and Unraid is on VLAN 1. I am just wondering if CRS305-1G-4S+IN is capable to perform inter-vlan routing without going through my main router.
  2. The fact that I can add multiple drives in different size is the biggest selling point for me. That means I don't have to worry about purchasing the same drive when a drive failed in a traditional RAID setup. There are times when I put the files that I am putting into my cache drive exceeded the size of the cache drive, therefore my file transfer failed. It would be nice if the 'mover' can kick in automatically if it hits certain pre-configured threshold.
  3. Bought two for my first UNRAID server. I am currently doing a 'pre-clear' on them right now. I also bought one 10TB EasyStore, it will be used as my parity drive. The goal is to retire my current RAID 5 (4 x 3TB). After I transfer all files over then I will add the four 3TB hard drives into the array as well.
  4. 32GB, the system was previously an ESXI server but I have new hardware to build another ESXI server so I am converting the existing ESXI server to an UNRAID server so I just left the RAM there in case I need to run dockers and VMs.
