    Yes!

remove the current one and install this plg: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/ca.backup2/master/plugins/ca.backup2.plg

(Dont bother the deprecated version warning)

If you feel ready, you can always switch forward again.

Thanks I have installed the old version again. Will keep an eye out here to see when issues have been resolved and install again (but I will be able to test new version if required - just let me know!)

    Thanks for the log!

Your case is very interesting. I never saw the counter uses all 3 tries and still fails 😅

The thing: The plugin is telling docker simply „Start container please“, the rest is up to docker.

I would prepare an update which shows more details in case of failure, but it will take a few days, Iam not home rn.

I also have issues sometimes while starting containers within the plugin but with latest version (3 tries) it went away.

Do you have IPv6 enabled and using for docker containers?

EDIT: Could you provide your unraid diagnostics?

    @KluthR

How do I tell if I have IPv6 enabled? I don't see that anywhere so I assume not... under Settings -> Network Settings ->  Network Protocol = IPv4 Only

Please see logs attached for Unraid and let me know if you need more info?

  3. Hi all,

Ever since updating my backup is also failing. It seems to be the unifi-controller docker that fails to start up...

See logs attached. I did not have this issue previously and have not updated the unifi-controller docker recently. When I check in the morning the docker is stopped and I just normally start it so not sure why this plugin is having a hard time starting it?

Issue Found: ca.backup2.plg is not known to Community Applications

Did you uninstalled the old version first?

I did. I ticked the selection under Uninstall column and pressed the "Remove" button. Then installed the new plugin.

Is there something else I should do? Is anyone else getting the same alert from Update Assistant tool?

  5. Not sure where to post this but I have changed over to "Appdata Backup/Restore v2" and when I run the Update Assistance it returns the following:

Issue Found: ca.backup2.plg is not known to Community Applications. Compatibility for this plugin CANNOT be determined and it may cause you issues.

I think in some parts of the world GitHub has some issues or something isn't working quite right since it can't pull the latest driver version...

Really not sure what to do about that, sorry for the inconvenience...

No worries at all - thanks for all the work you put into this plugin... really appreciate it along with the support you provide!

May I ask what python3 application is using your card? Do you use it in other containers too? If yes, does it work in the other containers?

Yes and it seems to be working fine - the python3 app you see there is Deepstack

So this is happening in the Linuxserver container, maybe try the official one or mine and see if the issue persists, what you can also try is to buy a Emby Premiere membership for one month and test if it works in Emby.

I can also confirm that HW transcoding is working in Emby too.

I will try switching over later and see what happens! Thanks

Then your CPU is hit pretty hard I think in terms of utilization or am I wrong?

    Yes that is correct

When transcoding can you try to open up a terminal from unRAID itself and type in:

    watch nvidia-smi

See below - this is with HEVC transcoding enabled in the Jellyfin options:

What exact encoders did you set in the Jellyfin settings?

Currently how it is now (and I have the issue playing videos)... if I disable HEVC the video plays normally

From what I see this a SDR movie and not HDR, there should be no issue transcoding these kind of files.

Strange... I will need to find a way to try a different container... currently using Linuxserver but will look at switching to yours without a reinstall. I do have another 1070 graphics card in the server used by a VM so I could also try that...

Not really but a few things that are most likely to be different are the base image and the installed packages but that makes no difference running Jellyfin.

Thanks - I tried migrating to this container but it didn't work (from the Linuxserver version). When I changed the repo and started it... it showed me the initial setup for the container ... like it couldn't find the old data.

Yes, tested it myself and it doesn't work on the official one.

You can easily switch between the containers by changing from ich777/jellyfin to jellyfin/jellyfin and vice versa.

Hi @ich777 please can you let me know how to switch from the linuxserver version of Jellyfin to your version? Can I just stop/delete the current one and install yours and point it to the same appdata folder? Will I lose any info?

Edit: I am also getting the choppy video as per @T4s3rF4c3 post above ... it goes away if I disable HEVC transcoding (see attached images)... I am using an Nvidia 1050 TI. Hoping if I switch to your container it will fix this...

I eventually can add a pause so the Plugin waits again for about 20 or a maximum of 30 seconds for a internet connection.

You don't virtualize PfSense/IPFire/Opensense or have PiHole running on Unraid or something similar so that you have no connection?

    Sounds like a good idea

And no I have a physical router and I did have internet access on other devices when I rebooted the server

  14. 18 minutes ago, ich777 said:

Have you a active internet connection on boot?

The plugin will automatically download the new version for you, but you need to have a internet connection on boot otherwise it will fail.

I should have... but not 100% sure. Thanks for a great plugin... was quick to solve my issue after the reboot.

For those of us, who use the NVIDIA driver:

Do we need to delete the plugin before update and reinstall after update (with Docker stop, Docker start). Will it stay that way?

See my response above. I am not sure if I am the exception but the plugin was removed after the upgrade/reboot. I had to reinstall it.
