  1. I went through these posts but didn't see anything to help me figure out my issue. I apologize if I missed it. I am running a dell r710 I just installed a p2000. I followed Spaceinvader one's video Here is my watch nvidia-smi Every 2.0s: nvidia-smi Tower: Tue Jul 7 09:02:15 2020 Tue Jul 7 09:02:16 2020 +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | NVIDIA-SMI 440.59 Driver Version: 440.59 CUDA Version: 10.2 | |-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+ | GPU Name Persistence-M| Bus-Id Disp.A | Volatile Uncorr. 2. I was able to get the controller working again by. 1. renaming the app data folder unifi-controllerd 2. Removing the unifi docker 3. reinstalling the unfi docker 4. restoring a backup from unifi-controllerd The only problem is that when I tried to install the LTS Tag, I could not restore my backup because it was a newer version. I was forced to install the latest tag. I'm looking now to see if I can change tags Chas
  3. After fusing with this all day, it could possibly considered better but not yet right. Now when I attempt to access the controller either through the Docker/webui or the letsencrypt/duckdns i get the same thing; Unifi controller is starting up... please wait a moment But nothing ever happens Chas
  4. Hey all, something changed recently with my Unifi controller, I assume there was an update that broke my settings. I have two unraid systems running in two different locations in two different states. on both setups I have unifi controller running, with the same settings. This setup has been working perfectly for more than a year. I last accessed my unifi controller last month and it was fine, last night I tried to access my local unraid unifi controller and got a "502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.18.0" using my letsencrypt/duckdns address. I get This site can’t be reached 192.168.1.2 refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED When I try to open webui from my docker page. I tried my remote unraid server in another state and got the same response trying to reach that controller. I am sure that this is something silly that I am just not seeing. Any suggestions are appreciated. Chas
  5. I just noticed that these drives show up as ST320004CLAR2000 rather than ST3200444SS as it states on the label. I guess that I should have said that these are "Reconditioned" drives. Is my issue that the firmware has been flashed on these? is there a wau to flash the original firmware back on them? I have reached out to the seller but don't know what to ask.
  6. OK, I finally managed to get Unraid to let me rebuild that drive, now I am back at the starting point. My array is good, I removed the 5 smaller drives by using "New configuration" now when I try to add the new 2TB drives, they show up in "Unassigned Devices" sdq ST320004CLAR2000_9WM5ZXP1 00009143TTZP INSERT I have Preclear installed but when I open preclear it does not see the drives. I am at a loss, I did some searching and read that the "insert" might mean that the device is being seen as an SD Reader. But the drive information is 100% accurate. Any help is greatly appreciated. 7. If I change controllers, will I lose all of my data?
  8. Sorry forgot to upload this tower-diagnostics-20200516-1525.zip
  9. Sir, I have an issue trying to replace a disk that is really odd. I have a disk in my MD1000 that the unit will not recognize or mount because it is too big (my own stupidity) I tried to replace it but it just came back as Device is Missing (Disabled) contents emulated. I fought with the system and got it to see the device, restarted the array and now it is rebuilding data on a drive that it says is not mounted. I am LOST
  10. Hello, I am having an issue similar to this but not exact. I am looking to replace a bad disk, but cab't get unraid to let me. The disk is showing "Device is Missing (Disabled) contents emulated" I stop the arary but cant seem to get Unraid to allow me to do anything with the drive. I am sure that I am just missing something but can't seem to find it Thanks
  11. Nothing in common that I see other than the controller, different manufacturers and different sizes the drives are not consecutively mounted . Thank you for the link to High_water, that clears up my misunderstanding. Chas
  12. Hello all, My system has been working pretty well for a while, thanks to this group. However I have noticed that my array does not seem to be filling up in the manner that I thought it was supposed to. the first Five 4tb drives filled up to 50% one after another. The next two 2tb drives filled to 500gb each and the next drive a 6tb drive has filled 4.46 tb so far.... this does not seem logical to me. Simple question is am I over thinking it? I also have drive 12 that showed up with 78 errors this AM, I am not real familiar with Smart errors, Do I need to pull that drive or is there anything I can do to correct the errors. I am attaching the diagnostic. Thank you in advance for your help Chas tower-diagnostics-20200412-0821.zip
  13. I might have messed that up. I uninstalled all of the plugins that I had installed recently. This included unassigned devices and plus. The log has ceased growing. I am leaving town tomorrow for a few days so I think I will leave the system as it is. I will check on it while gone and if it stays stable, I'll reinstall when I return. Thanks for the help, I'll check back next week. Chas
  14. Hello. I saw a thread about plugins not loading but it did not offer any resolutions that I was able to use. I could have missed something, well probably missed something. My memory Log file keeps filling up, it takes about 2 days to reach 100% I reboot and it clears. Once it gets to about 30% my plugin page stops loading, all of the tabs start responding slowly. I have not removed the 6tb drive from my MD1000 it is still listed as 2.2 tb unmountable but it is still attached to the system. Here is the diagnostic. Thanks in advance tower-diagnostics-20200213-1540.zip
  15. I am going to magnify my ignorance here, but what the heck. Can I swap out the controller card without having to format and loose all of the info on the drives ? I am guessing that I can but my guesses haven't proven to be that accurate lately.
  16. If I change controllers on the md10000, what controller do you recommend? Chas
  17. Yes it is on that controler. It is in an MD1000 the ODD part is that there is also a 6tb sas drive in the first bay of the MD1000 Disk #8. At one point I had another 4tb drive in the MD1000 as well. Chas
  18. Ok guy's don't take this the wrong way, I'm not proud of my screwups but this one has got to take the cake. Original install I used a 4 TB parity drive and a bunch of drives 4tb and smaller. Decided to go bigger and switched out to a 6tb parity added a second 6tb drive and wanted/want to include the old 4tb parity drive into the array. Simple right! Not for me, the parity upgrade went perfect, the second 6tb drive added to the array no problem. In order to add the old parity to the array I needed to remove a 350gb drive that was at the back of my array with nothing written to it. I followed directions to shrinking the array, removed the 350 gb rebuilt the parity and all should have been good, right? nope. When I tried to add the 4tb drive, for some reason it keeps wanting to Sync will start Parity-Sync and/or Data-Rebuild if I let it do that it formats itself to 2.2 tb and will not let me add it to the array, it says xfs Unmountable: Unsupported partition layout and shows as a 2.2tb drive I have pulled it and deleted the partition and formatted on a windows machine but it keeps doing the same thing. This just makes no sense. In the end, I am sure that it will be nothing more than operator malfunction but any help is appreciated. Chas tower-diagnostics-20200211-1721.zip
  19. That was tough, step one. disconnect the second controller.
  20. Yes, thank you. I am using an MD1000 with dual controllers I will research steps to use just one. Thank you
  21. Hello, would someone like to help me figure out what idiotic mistake I am making now? I added 5 2tb drives to my array. I pre cleared them and then added them to the array, with no issues. the next day all 5 drives showed up in unassigned devices again but with different id's. The array seems to be fine, I doubt if these phantom drives are hurting anything but they shouldn't be there and I'm enough of a screw up that having them there opens the door to some horrible operator malfunctions. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  22. Thank you, I followed the instructions and the drives are removed, now in 17 hours, I'll see if it fixes my issues (parity rebuild 17 hrs) Thanks again. Chas
  23. How do I remove that disk, there was nothing on it? Chas
  24. tower-diagnostics-20200114-0706.zip I started the parity check last night, it is still running but it does show a failed drive. CHas
