Kimosabe2019
So I have four 1 TB disks and one 2TB parity. I have yet to purchase newer drives but three of my drives are showing a lot of errors. If I purchase three 1 TB drives, how do I swap them out? One at a time once parity is met? Or can I swap out all three at once? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
With single parity you can only replace one at a time, but possibly all those warnings are not critical, you should post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics. Quote Link to comment
trurl
Parity contains no data. In order to rebuild a disk all other disks must be read so the data can be calculated. Parity is just an extra bit that allows a missing bit to be calculated from all the other bits. That's what it is in every system it's used. Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Most if not all should be fine for now, you can run an extended SMART test on all to confirm. 1 Quote Link to comment
