Maticks
I thought when NVME drives died they just stopped working. I can't seem to find any issue with the drive but it's failed smart. Do i just ignore the error or should i change out the NVME drive? I think the drive goes into read only when its dead from what i was reading online. I have attached the smart logs. vault-smart-20210201-1358.zip Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Those diagnostics are not much use as they are just after booting and the array has not been started, and there is no SMART information for any drive in them. Quote Link to comment
Maticks
That might be part of the issue i can't start a smart on the drive short or extended manually. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
SMART is failing be because it's past its predicted life: Percentage Used: 101% Doesn't mean the device is failing, I have an NVMe currently at 119% and still going strong. 1 Quote Link to comment
Maticks
that makes sense, these intel ones aren't the best for wear time thats for sure. will need to look for a replacement brand that does more writes. Quote Link to comment
