March 5, 20215 yr Hi, For now my unraid is not using a UPS. When I can I will put it, I will. Every time there is a power failure, the VM service is disabled, requiring me to go manually and activate. The VM is running in the cache, so it does not use the array at the time of verification. Does anyone know why this is happening?
March 6, 20215 yr Community Expert Stop the array and do a clean reboot, then post new diags after array start. P.S. there's an unassigned 3TB Seagate spamming the log, if you're not using it disconnect it.
March 6, 20215 yr Author I disconnected the seagate. when i restarted cleanly the vm service returned normally. I simulated the problem by forcing a wrong shutdown by pressing the power button holding it. VM Manager returns disabled and does not start vms. I had to manually enable this service. unraid-diagnostics-20210306-0730.zip
March 6, 20215 yr Community Expert Strange that it doesn't auto start after an unclean shutdown, but first thing would be to avoid those.
March 6, 20215 yr Author When I do a clean shutdown, the vm manager works normally, coming back activated When a forced, unclean shutdown occurs, the vm manager returns disabled In the case of the diagnosis, I simulated an unclean shutdown to see why it is not activated again
March 6, 20215 yr Community Expert Like mentioned avoid unclean shutdowns, they can cause other issues.
March 6, 20215 yr Author I still don’t have a UPS, I’ll provide it when I can. The Vm that needs to come back is the one of the Home Assistant who maintains the automation of my home. If she doesn’t come back and I’m out of the house, it’s difficult. Is there no solution for this case? I have 3 friends who also have unraid and it doesn't happen to them, so I find it strange.

March 6, 20215 yr Author fiz o que vc pediu, desativei, e ativei.. na volta olha o que acontece... eu acho realmente que tem algo a ver com o libvirt
March 6, 20215 yr Author is here deleted the libvirt, removed the one that existed. I downloaded a new one and my VM is gone. I'm recreating again. unraid-diagnostics-20210306-0900.zip

September 24, 20214 yr I also have the same problem: when there is a power failure the system restarts but does not enable the virtual machine service, which must be re-enabled manually. Has anyone figured out what the problem could be and therefore its solution?

September 24, 20214 yr The problem seems common to me, I find several posts, and I don't think it depends on the configuration of the individual machines. It looks like an unraid bug

September 24, 20214 yr Here is the diagnostics. Thanks for your help. nas-diagnostics-20210924-1839.zip
September 30, 20214 yr I too have the same behavior. When my server has an unclean reboot, VM is disabled. Is this a bug in Unraid?
October 5, 20214 yr For me it is a very obvious unraid bug. Being a fairly widespread bug I don't think it depends on the configuration of the single machines. However I have no way to ascertain this and the help on the forum, despite the upload of the diagnostics, was null.
March 18, 20224 yr Same Problem here. Just had a power outage and my VMs(one of them being home assistant which needs to come back asap) didnt come back up. Has happened before in the same way. VM service is disabled after power outage. unraid-diagnostics-20220318-1523.zip Edited March 18, 20224 yr by deebeo added diagnostics
March 28, 20224 yr happened again today... would someone please take a look at my diagnostics and tell me what to change? It is imperative to have my VMs start up again after a power loss. Thank you. unraid-diagnostics-20220328-0740.zip
