jcarre
Hello, I recently bought a new disk for my array, i shucked it from a Seagate Expansion (ST10000DM0004). I took out and old disk, replaced and started the rebuilding process. It was going well until the 80% mark, when it starting to through errors (UDMA CRC). The process stopped and a parity sync started. I now have 512 errors on the disk array, and everything paused. What steps should I take? ivpiter-syslog-20210511-0730.zip Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Syslog is spammed with other issues, can't see the disks errors, but disk itself looks fine, and the high number of UDMA CRC errors suggest a bad connection, replace SATA cable/slot and try again. Quote Link to comment
jcarre
I had it connected to a HBA card, I replaced it with a SATA cable to the mobo to see how it goes. However now the array started but the disk is still disabled. The only option is to do a parity check. Should I do a full check and then take the disk out to redo the rebuilding process? Thanks for you help! Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Unassign the disk, start/stop array, re-assign the disk to begin another rebuild. Quote Link to comment
