Windows VM's not seeing drive specified during VM creation

Recommended Posts

Trying to install different versions of Windows as a VM on my Unraid server.

I have tried 3 different versions of Windows with no luck

I have tried all of the different drive interface types with no luck

i have tried two different versions of the VirtualIO ISO with no luck.

I can install Linux as a VM without any problems.

It has to be something I am not doing right from the windows side that is the problem.

I am used to working with VMware, so creating a VM is something I am familiar with.

Would appreciate any suggestsions on what to look at.

Are you doing the custom install and loading the storage driver for the disks from the virtio cd?
