Will that screw up identification of disks in the corrrect location or is that attributes to the sata cables? You can, changing cables won't change anything like that, disks are assigned using their serial numbers.
September 6, 20214 yr Author I found this on Reddit, Will I destroy any chance of recovery doing the following: Go to Tools -> New Config. Then add the drives back into the array. It will clear the old config and allow you to create a new array. Any data on missing disk(s) will be gone, but it will keep whatever is on the current disks. So I would lose the missing disk data? Not a good solution, IMO
September 6, 20214 yr Community Expert You should only do that if the missing disks are detected and can be mounted correctly.
September 6, 20214 yr Community Expert Disks 1 and 3 are still missing, you can't do anything else until they are detected.
September 6, 20214 yr Community Expert Before getting a new PSU swap cables with different disks, if the same disks remain missing it's not the PSU.

I did renable the parity disk and everything looks good excpt that it doesnt give me the option of a parity check , just a read check. I am guessing I need to restart to get the parity check? tower45tb-diagnostics-20210907-0722.zip
September 7, 20214 yr Author A big THANK YOU to everyone that has helped to get me this far. It is quite scary when you are a newbie and your system is shut down whith multiple errors, your first thoughts are that you will be losing your data. Thanks again.
