SmokeyColes
Hello I know SpaceInvadeOne and Linus have videos how to install Windows 11 using the insider iso's. Is it possible to install Windows 11 with everything emulated using a normal iso downloaded straight from the Microsoft website (latest). I have tried and I get the error "this pc can't run windows 11" - doesn't really tell me anything more. I am using UNRAID 6.10.0-rc2 Is it possible, do you know what settings I have wrong? cpu mode host passthrough memory 4096, 4096 cpu 0/10 i440fx-6.1 OVMF TPM Hyper-V Yes USB 3 qemu XHCI graphics VNC Low spec I know, but I plan to change later. ** Lowish technical knowledge with KVM, I've set up a couple ** Edited December 27, 2021 by SmokeyColes Quote Link to comment

OTOH, give it more cores. Minimum requirements are dual core, but *technically* you're only giving the VM a single core (with a HT) Also wouldn't be a bad idea to enable TPM within the BIOS (It tends to be disabled by default) What is the CPU you're using? 2 Quote Link to comment

macronbell
The following steps are necessary to remove requirements error "This PC can't run Windows 11" when attempting to install Windows 11 you can bypass the CPU / TPM Check by adding DWORD to registry in the below mentioned path. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup Add DWORD with the value name as AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU and Value data as 1. Download the Windows 11 iso from official website and mount in Virtual Drive using PowerISO or similar application. Then RUN the windows 11 setup from the virtual Drive and follow the process. you are good to go with windows 11 *Make sure the secure Boot is enabled in BIOS.
