jbbrandes
Hoping somebody can help me out here. I can reach my unRaid files by a link to the contents, but I can't access the login screen to perform housekeeping chores and activities. I'm accessing it via the url bar: <server_name>/login All I get is: Hmmm… can't reach this page Check if there is a typo in fred. If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN I've tried changing settings but I'm not having any luck. Can anybody help? Quote Link to comment
Squid
Can you reach it via using the IP address? https://ipAddress (NOTE: you must actually enter in https) Quote Link to comment
jbbrandes
I enter in http://fred/login I get the following... Hmmm… can't reach this page Check if there is a typo in fred. Search Bing for fred If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN It seems to recognize "fred" (the name of the server) but not login. (I've also tried logon) I have a bookmark for this that used to work. but no longer. Quote Link to comment

Does it work if you omit the ‘login’ part? It should not be necessary. Quote Link to comment

jbbrandes
Omitting "login" yields the same result. I just want to make sure I'm clear about the problem. I am able to access the contents/file system of the server of the server. I am not able to connect to the server via login so that I can access the dashboard and perform system administrative and housekeeping functions. jbbrandes
http://192.168.0.13 yields the following result. Hmmm… can't reach this page 192.168.0.13 refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED Hide details Check your Internet connection Check your network cables, modem, and routers. Allow Microsoft Edge to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings. If it's already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list, and adding it again. If you use a proxy server: Check your proxy settings. You might need to ask your organization if the proxy server is working. If you don't think you should be using a proxy server, go to Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings Quote Link to comment

jbbrandes
sorry, I typed too fast, I entered as follows... https://192.168.0.13 and got the message as above. Im looking in the firewall and don't see anything wrong. Quote Link to comment
Squid
OK. Just what I was looking for happened to be one common cause for inability to connect Do you have a keyboard / mouse attached to the server? Can you log in at the command prompt and then enter in diagnostics The zip file will get saved onto the flash drive (logs folder) Powerdown, pull the flash drive and post the the zip here powerdown Quote Link to comment
jbbrandes
I'm copying some files now, but once done I can do that, On a side note, I'm finally able to access the logon screen by typing http://198.162.0.13/login It just started working all of a sudden. I don't know why http://fred/login https://fred/login http://192.168.0.13/login https://192.168.0.13/login https://192.168.0.13 or any of the others still don't work. I'm at a loss to explain any of this. Quote Link to comment
jbbrandes
You want me to run "diagnostics" from a linux command prompt, correct? I'll have to power down and power up with a head attached to do this. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Yes. If you've now got access to the WebUI, it's easier from Tools - Diagnostics Quote Link to comment
