daNick73
Hello I am a bit desperate, help truly, truly appreciated, since my whole set up crashed... All of sudden, all my dockers and VMs (used for home automation) are missing. Rebooting, I cannot see the SSD they were on. So, my assumption is that UNRAID "only" lost the SSD and thus all dockers and the VM are missing. ANY help to recover appreciated, THX! Please let me know what info may be needed to get support! Version 6.9.2 THX! Best regards Nico Edited January 28, 2022 by daNick73 Matter solved, support was amazing! Quote Link to comment
Squid
Post your diagnostics before a reboot Quote Link to comment
itimpi
It is also worth doing a full power-cycle of the server as If a drive dropped offline this can sometime bring it back. If it does then the diagnostics with the array started will help with identifying the issue. 1 Quote Link to comment
daNick73
@Squid Thanks. Diagnostics attached. I had rebooted unfortunately, since I didnt spot it was an issue. And sorry for posting a bit in panic mode, I will have a beer tower-diagnostics-20220128-2235.zip Quote Link to comment
daNick73
It is solved. Not sure why, but power-on cycle solved it. Thanks to all! Quote Link to comment
Squid
I don't see in the logs any mention anywhere of the SSD. So best guess is that the cable(s) are completely unplugged or the drive is completely dead. Assuming that the SSD is plugged into the motherboard, does it recognize it in the BIOS? 9 minutes ago, daNick73 said: And sorry for posting a bit in panic mode, I will have a beer 1 Quote Link to comment
Squid
So it looks like we cross-posted. You powered down after the diagnostics. I'd still check the cabling when you have a chance, but the panic time is over (but not the beer time -> now you have to celebrate that it's working with a beer) Quote Link to comment
daNick73
Thx I will skip squid from my menu for the time being to remember the support. I will watch the issue, but the SSD is an M.2 NVME and I have not been moving the device physically at all. Unless it reoccurs, I may hope/pray it was a one-off! Again, THX to both of you! This level of support by two experts in shortest time is beyond my wildest dreams of what I would expect even for a paid software support plan. Just this one incident shows paying for Unraid was an excellent decision! 1 Quote Link to comment
