Jharris1984
Hi all, I’m having trouble getting my Plex to use my video cards for hardware transcoding. I followed the instructions from spaceinvader (only difference was I used Binhex vs Linuxserver due to Linux not having a spot for gpu-id anymore). I do have Plexpass as well. Things I’ve tried - 1. Reinstalling the application. Removal of appdata when done. 2. Using binhex-plex and binhex-plexpass and vice versa. 3. Two different video cards. 4. Turning off the hardware transcoding, saving, restarting, turning it back on, and restarting again. 5. Cuss words. 6. Sweet talk. 7. Smacked it once. I’ve attached screenshots below. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Quote Link to comment

dlandon
You’d probably have better luck with the Unraid Nvidia support forum. Quote Link to comment
boosting1bar
Change your repository to binhex/arch-plexpass. I think that's the only difference I see in my config vs. yours and mine is working. I think you're missing the plexpass version which would enable it. Have you alsp added --runtime=nvidia to the Extra Parameters in the tempalte when you switch on Advanced View? I also would recommend that you head over to the container support thread. This seems like a container specific issue because the Nvidia Driver picks up your cards just fine. 1 Quote Link to comment

Adding the runtime fixed it. Very much appreciated sir/mam. 2 Quote Link to comment
