Anser
Hello! I hope someone is willing to help me - I'm at a loss. I don't know what happend: This morning it seems, I lost both parity drives due to a read/write failure. I did not reboot boot thought I could just stop the array and set parity to "no device" ... an rebuild it afterwards. as soon as I did set "no device" all other disks set themselves to no device also. I'm not touching anything right now - just hope I can somehow re-assign the drives. Server Name "CMNSVR01" Unraid Version 6.10.02 10 Disks 4/12/14 TB 2 Parity Drives 14 TB Any help appreciated. Anser
Hi! @JorgeB: Thank you so much for your time! I did turn off/on the server ... disks are now back in place except for the parity drives (disabled). Array is online (autostart). Attached the diagnostics and syslog files. Thank you! JorgeB
Everything looks normal so far, just re-sync both parity drives, you can do both at the same time, hopefully the HBA error was a one time thing, but if it happens again you'll need to troubleshoot, in the meantime make sure it's well seated and sufficiently cooled. https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Storage_Management#Rebuilding_a_drive_onto_itself Quote Link to comment
Anser
Hello! All works fine now. I did rebuild the parity drive (both at the same time). And now ... 25 hours later ... I reactivated docker. All good. Thank you so much for the super-fast help!! Cheers Anser 1 Quote Link to comment
