Server name changed from "N2" to "Tower"

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm a new user and recently installed the trial version of 6.11.0-rc5

I configured the server name as N2.  Today I noticed my N2 network share is inaccessible, instead I see Tower in my network

Everything else seem to still be as I configured it, any ideas why the server name changed ?

Thanks

That usually suggests a flash drive problem, also you are using an old -rc, update to latest stable.

All of your configuration is in the config folder on the flash drive. Servername is in config/ident.cfg. It is reset to default if that file gets corrupted or is missing. Possibly others are also affected.

Do you have a current flash backup?

Somewhat unrelated, but why a release candidate for 6.11.0 when 6.11.5 stable has been out for a while?

I must have accidently selected 'Next' rather than 'Stable' in the flash creator

I've just had this issue today after a server reboot also. Running the latest stable. Not noticing anything else out of order, so idk...
