The log looks ok to me....is it safe to add this disk? - not new, used on other system for 2 years with no issues.

Hello Bob, yes, its ok! if was used for two years, i think you can use for around 3 years without issues, if is a good quality brandmark.

Put two parity's if you dont have on your system, this will improve your security against data loss, but as everyone says here, you need to do backups outside the unraid, 

nothing is 100% guaranted

BTW i used my lasts 2 tb and 1 tb seagate home user disks for 8 years until death! but before drops totally they warning a lot.

I have been using 8tb drives for a while now... no failures in the years I have been using them... even renewed ones...
