Lost my VM

Featured Replies

Hello, I can't see my VM on dashboard or in VM tab anymore.

I had a W10 VM and I can still see it on my cache disk. It's called vdisk1.img

Can I create a new VM somehow and connect my vdisk1.img to it?

If Yes, how?

Based on the btrfs transid the libvirt image is new, see if there's another one somewhere, post output of:

find /mnt -name libvirt.img

Also do you have a backup in case there's not?

This is my output

root@Tower:~# find /mnt -name libvirt.img
/mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img
/mnt/cache_doc/system/libvirt/libvirt.img

There's only one, so if you have a backup restore, if you don't you can recreate the VM with the same settings and point to the existing vdisk.

Hey, I'm sorry for the insanely long delay for reply ;D

I did find backup but i'm not sure if it's working...

- How do I replace my existing libvirt file with my backup?

- Do I have to worry about my dockers when doing this?

Stop VM service and restore the backup.
