mattiscg
Hello, I have 5 HDD Seagate Drive in my arrary and a Samsung SSD. all in the same arrary. Is this bad? Quote Link to comment
Solution Veah Posted July 24, 2023 Solution Share Posted July 24, 2023 Some would use the SSD as a cache drive. What you have will not break anything though. Quote Link to comment
mattiscg
I have a Intel Optimate SSD was a cached drive, and another 2.5 SSD in the array pool. Thanks Quote Link to comment
sphbecker
It will work for adding capacity, but the performance will be random. Files that happen to land on the SSD will perform differently than files that land on other disks. Still, no reason it wouldn't work. Edited July 24, 2023 by sphbecker Quote Link to comment
trurl
SSDs in the array can't be trimmed, and can only be written at parity speed. 1 Quote Link to comment
