Threadfin - xteve fork

Featured Replies

Hello

I was wondering how we can get docks that aren't in the community plugins installed? Threadfin isn't in there but it is a much better version of xteve and is still in active development. It also allows to backup streams for channels just incase one goes down which I think is a really good feature plus actually buffers to ram instead of files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Was wondering this myself.  I'm using xteve now with marginal success.  Would like to give Threadfin a try

I've tried to get this docker working in Unraid (installed from Docker Hub), could not get it working 100% correctly so I gave up.  Would be nice to have a version that has been tweaked for Unraid.

Seconding this, a ca template would be great

I created a Docker using the Docker hub.  I added the path variables and it seems to work.  I don't know if I need the dollar signs or not!  I have stopped and started it a few times and the config saves.  I also changed the advanced parameters WebUI to   ipaddress:34400/web/

I've successfully installed Threadfin by downloading the .xml template listed in that link, placing it in my Docker templates folder and installing by clicking Add Container on the Docker tab in UnRAID.

Hello,

Could you provide some further insight regarding this?
Would love to try to get this deployed and operational.

Adding my voice to this - an easy to install Threadfin container would be fantastic.

It seems that the guy that was working on threadfin is focusing on media server project :/

As live TV has been deemed an essential service (tennis is on) by the CEO, I had to make the switch to Threadfin. Been rocking perfect for 2 hours now where xteve was looping back.

I can't spell

I only changed the port to 34401 as I still had Xteve running so I could copy paste the old settings over.

This was working two days ago, and as of the latest update no longer working.  Anyone else having any similar issues?

Yep, experiencing similar - broke with the latest update. I think it's an issue around ports perhaps? WebGUI no longer accessible and docker ports shown do not match those in the docker xml. I had to move back to Xteve in the meantime, not ideal as it's not as robust/reliable.

I've temporarily fixed the issue by reverting to 1.1.0.

I've edited the "Repository" settings from "fyb3roptik/threadfin:latest" to "fyb3roptik/threadfin:1.1.0"  and it's working.  Unfortunately, this freezes Threadfin to version 1.1.0, but once whatever the issue is fixed I'll change the repository back to latest.

Thanks, had to do the same to get it back working.

What WebGUI though?  I installed this just like the screenshots in here, but when I clicked the docker there is no WebGUI option as I expected to see, instead it's just Console and opens a command line.

So the rumor is that this will be fixed with version 1.2.0.  The recommendation is for everyone to remain on 1.1.0 until it's fixed.  Like all rumors, wait until it's confirmed but at least for me, none of the versions after 1.1.0 have worked.

Threadfin is currently broken after 1.1.0, and any version doesn't listen on the correct IP.  As a result, nobody can reach the WebGUI option.

The current workaround is to edit the settings on the container.  Under "Repository:" Change it from "fyb3roptik/threadfin:latest" to "fyb3roptik/threadfin:1.1.0".  It will start working again, or work for the first time.

Well shoot, didn't work for me, still only have a Console option, thx though

This post is what will fix anyone's inability to connect to the webui interface.   You need to do a minor edit to (enable advanced view while editing threadfin) WebUI as follows: http://[IP]:[PORT:34400]/web

The key is adding /web at the end.   Threadfin is fully functional after that.   Thank-you to Scott2020 for this simple fix.
