Recofigure Docker apps after restoring them?

Hello!

 

Rebooted and when I clicked on the "Docker" tab I was met with "No Docker containers installed".  I reinstalled the containers via "Apps tab/Previous Apps".  Once I install and launched the apps, it appears I need to reconfigure the application from scratch.  I thought that once you installed the apps using a previously used template, you would NOT need to reconfigure them.  What am I missing?

Is the appdata for the containers still on the same pool / folder / location as it was? The previous apps should point the containers to use the same appdata, but if the appdata isn't there, it will show as new.

If an app doesn't see its previous appdata it will be a new install of the app regardless of whether or not you reused its template.

No, it does not appear that it is.  What could have caused the data to be deleted?

I have not made any changes in a while.

Since your cache drive is unmountable, all the shares that would have had files only on cache have been recreated on the array. So all appdata is new among other things.

 

You should be able to see that your cache drive is unmountable by looking at Main - Pool Devices.

Is the drive bad or was there some sort of corruption?  Why would that just happen? 

 

Is it possible to fix the issue and recover my old "appdata" directory?

Not getting a complete SMART report from cache for some reason, not familiar with this one:

Read SMART Data failed: scsi error badly formed scsi parameters

You might try checking connections.

 

Do you have a backup of appdata?

You can quote part of a post by selecting that part then clicking "Quote selection" from the popup. Better if you quote the part you intend to reply to, then add your reply outside the quote. Repeat as necessary.

 

Did you check the power connection to the disk also, and any power splitters?
