October 30, 20232 yr Hi, I am trying to register my trial server with my Unraid.net account but cannot get past the Performing actions screen. Any trick to this or if this due to my license being on trial. I am worried that after purchasing a license, this issue could still remain. Here's the steps I am taking... After clicking Confirm, the following screen appears and just sits there forever... Kind regards, Ron.
November 1, 20232 yr Author Hi SpencerJ, I re-tried the process but it was unsuccessful. I tried with multiple browsers (Edge, Firefox and Brave) but the result was the same where is sits on the Performing actions page. Cheers, Ron.
December 16, 20232 yr What was the resolution to this issue, if any? I have 3 Unraid servers and one them is having this same issue. The other two connected without a problem.
December 16, 20232 yr Author Unfortunately I have never able to solve it and the admins went silent on me. Issue still exists and I have not gone ahead with Unraid as a result. I can't risk purchasing a license and having this issue stop me from using it, so I'm now evaluating TrueNAS Scale. Pity as Unraid would have been the answer for me.
December 18, 20232 yr Solution I ended up sorting it out a moment ago. My issue was because I was accessing it remotely via WAN, but when I popped into the vm on that machine and used the local IP to access the GUI and log in that way it worked immediately. Maybe I can help you through it. Or, on YouTube, check out SpaceInvaderOne's video on how to get it going. That's probably your best bet, actually, b/c you can see step by step how to do it and he talks about common issues and how to get around them. Don't give up on Unraid. It really is amazing. It's why I have 3 licenses now where I was hesitant to buy even 1 at first. Edited December 18, 20232 yr by mmagl
December 18, 20232 yr Connect used to be called My Servers, so check out this video - maybe it'll help, and if not, I'll try to help.
December 18, 20232 yr Author Thanks mmagl. I will definitely check that out. Interesting about your WAN issue - I'm using a reverse proxy to access the local UI so that may well be the issue. I'll try it with a local IP instead (damn... should have thought about that!) Cheers, Ron.
