NI034710
A couple of hours ago, the server i had running was working just fine. No issues and i was using it as usual. Then for some reason, the server seems to go offline and cannot connect to the internet. I had my server assigned a static ip from my router using DHCP but now for some reason the router refuses to connect or see the server. I can confirm that the cable is connected and lights on both the LAN port of the server, and the switch thats connected to the router are light up and flashing green. Other devices on the switch are still working just fine. I have the diagnostics here, could really use some help as my only other option i can see is a server wipe... Edit* I have already tried deleting the network config. Not sure what else I can do ihome-diagnostics-20231210-1323.zip Edited December 10, 2023 by NI034710 Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Your server appears (to me) getting a IPv6 address. Is this what you wanted (or expected)? If you only want an IPv4 address, select that here (using 'Network Settings): Quote Link to comment
NI034710
I wanted a IP 4 address. I did change the network settings and once I clicked apply the system log had a yellow alert that said bind to 0.0.0.0:80 failed address already in use. Same for port 443 Quote Link to comment

NI034710
no i dont, none of my containers should be using those ports. just in case it was a docker i have rebooted it in safe mode and was still running into the same issues. here is a new diagnostic file with the ipv4 network setting changed ihome-diagnostics-20231210-1821.zip Quote Link to comment
Solution NI034710 Posted December 11, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted December 11, 2023 So, in a final last ditch effort i took the Lan cable leading to my server and directly plugged it into the switch which leads to the main router. Deleted the network config files on the usb, rebooted the server and now its being picked up no issues. Quote Link to comment
