Plugged in a 16TB USB - Is it too large?

I recently purchased a 16TB USB stick and attaced to my Unraid server.

Thinks LOOKS OK, but I'm not able to mount / write to it.

 

 

And I have errors

Can it simply be that the USB Stick is too large?

 

I cannot find a way to delete all config and re-initialize it either. Any tips?

I have not heard of there being USB sticks that large that are not fakes.    You might want to try running one of the many programs available that can test for fake uSB drives and report their true capacity.

I hope with the ~2000 dollar price tag came a good warranty 😂.

As sort of PSA this is the largest, as of writing this, commercially available flash drive



I based my 2k guess on flash chips, quite shocked that the 2TB version is already almost that much.

Yeah, in hindsight it was pretty stupid and I should have known better.

Not much of a loss money wise anyway.

Imagine if it WAS real. Flash memory prices could have dropped like crazy in China for all I knew

 

I actually had no idea that faking flash drives was a thing.
