markiii
Well heres a dilemma. Running 6.11.5 With hindsight maybe I was asking the box to do too many things at once, but hey Heres a snapshot of my drive assignments. I was rebuilding Disk 6 due to replacing and old 8TB with a new 14TB. n(rebuild was paused due to moving some files see below) I had 2 other drives doing a preclear I had an SSH session open with Midnight Commander doing a file move during which Disk 2 went AWOL at this point I cancelled the 2 preclears and ejected the disks to reduce server load whilst I figured out what to do next. So far so good at this point I noticed the web interface was not updating disk activity I refreshed the web interface and it did so but still no change. I can get into other pages on the web interface and I managed to download the logs (see attached) Dockers seem to still be running So taking aside why disk 1 failed I figured no problem let disk 6 finish rebuilding and there will be no issue if I have to then rebuild disk 1 alas I can't tell if the parity rebuild on disk 6 is running or not nor when it finishes as the Main webinterface page whilst refreshable doesn't allow any interaction I've been looking for a way to restart the web interface but doesn't look like its possible on 6.11.5? My SSH session is still functioning Ay suggestions appreciated syslog.txt Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
See if you can get the complete diagnostics from the CLI, but according to the syslog the rebuild is paused/canceled. Quote Link to comment
markiii
thanks, can I restart it from cmd line to allow it to finish? Quote Link to comment

markiii
thats kind of the conclusion I cam to however not sure what effect that will have on the rebuild, will it remember it was x way through? fail or assume its finished? Edited April 2 by markiii Quote Link to comment
