SCHMOLLOCK Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 I recently utilized the Unraid USB Flash Creator to install version 6.12.10 onto a USB stick. Initially, everything worked smoothly, and I could access and manage the system via the web interface without any issues. However, upon attempting to log in again after some time, I consistently received an "incorrect password" error. After several unsuccessful login attempts, I found myself locked out of the system. Even after waiting for half an hour and attempting to log in again, I encountered the same error message stating that there were too many attempts. Consequently, I decided to restart the server. However, following the restart, I could only ping the server, with no access to the web interface or SSH. This isn't the first time I've encountered this issue; I experienced something similar with another USB stick before, prompting me to switch it out. Could this problem be related to not having the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) enabled in the BIOS? Any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Quote

That should not be a problem or you won't be able to boot, not just login. Reset the root password and try maybe using a simpler one: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/guides/reset-password/ Quote
