May 17, 20242 yr Community Expert Speed falling back to 100Mbps when it should be 1000Mbps is typically a sign that not all twisted pairs in a LAN cable are connecting. This can be a cable issue or a port issue at either end of the cable.

Took a day or two to get a new cable but its not that causing it, i think its a setting on the server but im not sure what or where

It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog.
