bobvilla Posted August 27 Share Posted August 27 Shares missing, even after reboot they do not return. Halp. Having a bit of a scare today. A few days ago I noticed my Unraid SMB settings were for a different Windows Homegroup name. I also wanted to clean up the User I use for my windows 11 credentials etc. I deleted the old smbuser I was using and created one that matches the layout of my Windows user names. That went fine. I rebooted and then noticed after this that all of my shares are missing. I am sort of panicking as I see on many forum posts that a reboot fixes the issue, but it has NOT. Is there anything else I can do to get my shares back?? Quote Link to comment

I want to explain that today I updated to the new 6.12.13 but this was not the cause of the issue, it was occurring before hand. I only updated thinking it may fix it. bobvilla Posted August 28 Author Share Posted August 28 Ok, so now the shares are back. I don't think it is because of doing the Maintenance and checking filesystem is it? I rebooted over the past 2 days like 10 times and even tried safe mode. I did recreate a user with the same name as smbuser. Maybe the new user is allowing these to be seen again?
