April 10, 20251 yr Not sure if there is a better area to post this, but it said to submit something in the forums if the wireless adapter wasn't showing up. I have: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7921 802.11ax PCI Express Wireless Network Adapter Diagnostic log is attached tower-diagnostics-20250410-1034.zip
April 10, 20251 yr Community Expert There's no driver, which is not surprising, since according to the release notes: wireless support Atheros/Qualcomm Broadcom Intel Marvell Realtek But I'll ask LT to see if that driver can be included in the next release and post an update here when I know.
April 11, 20251 yr Community Expert This driver will be included for the next release, which will probably be 7.1.0-rc1
April 12, 20251 yr Community Expert @Camborkthis should now work with -rc1, please retest to confirm.
April 13, 20251 yr Author @JorgeB Updated yesterday and the wireless interface does seem to be recongized now! However, its failing when I try to enable it. April 14, 20251 yr Community Expert The driver appears to be working correctly, are you able to try and connect to a network, or does it just fail after enabling Wi-Fi?
April 15, 20251 yr Author It never gets to the point of selecting a wifi network. If I manually enable the wifi interface using ifconfig from the terminal, then it does at least shows wifi networks when I enable it from the UI, but it still doesn't let me actually connect.
April 15, 20251 yr Community Expert @bonienlany idea what the issue could be? The driver is installed but it fails to connect/list any networks: Apr 13 09:29:04 Tower rc.wireless: Starting WiFi network... Apr 13 09:29:04 Tower rc.wireless: iw reg set US Apr 13 09:29:14 Tower rc.wireless: WiFi network... Failed.
April 15, 20251 yr Can you open a terminal window and type ip link set wlan0 up Then open the wireless page and see if it populates. You need to click on the wifi icon to join a network.
April 15, 20251 yr Ok, I found a bug which explains your issue, will be fixed in the next release. As a workaround, set the "Regulatory region" to your country instead of ''automatic' and then join a network.
April 15, 20251 yr Author @bonienl Thanks for looking into the problem. I just wanted to add some details, as I'm not sure if the bug you found is for the same issue I'm running into. If I set my "Regulatory Region" and then enable WIFI, its still failing: If I manually enable the wifi interface like you suggested, it does appear to actually scan for networks. However, its still failing and won't let me select one to connect with.
April 16, 20251 yr Community Expert There's another user with a Mediatek adapter having issues, so maybe something specific to them, I've asked him to post the diags here.
April 16, 20251 yr I've added the digs in my post but now also here. Hope you guys will finde something unraid-diagnostics-20250416-1201.zip

April 26, 20251 yr One more question. I successfully joined my network but a management access and even a ping is not possible. Is there another config necessary?
