January 17Jan 17 I've added a new 10GbE network card to my server, but I can't seem to get it to show up in the network settings tab.I can see it in the System Devices as "[10ec:8127] 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8127 10GbE Controller (rev 05)". I currently have it bound to VFIO, but I'm not sure if I needed to do that.Attached are my current Diagnostics.Thanks for the help. elwood-diagnostics-20260117-1400.zip
January 17Jan 17 Community Expert Binding to VFIO is a method to hide it from the host so you can passthrough the device for use in VMs.If you intend to use it for Unraid, you need to undo that change and it should appear in network settings after a restart.
January 19Jan 19 Author I thought that was the case, but I tried the VFIO anyway because the NIC wasn't showing up. I undid the VFIO binding and gave the server a reboot. The new NIC is not available in the Settings - Network screens. Latest Diagnostics are attached. elwood-diagnostics-20260119-1600.zip
January 19Jan 19 Community Expert Solution I don't believe the Realtek 8127 is ready for Unraid yet. Here's a copy/paste from AI slop:Realtek RTL8127 support in Unraid is currently limited and depends on the Unraid version and available plugins.As of Unraid 7.3, support for the Realtek RTL8127 is expected to be included natively via the kernel, eliminating the need for third-party plugins.Until then, users are advised to check the Community Apps section for a Realtek driver plugin. The existing plugin for R8125/R8126/R8168/R8152/R8156 supports similar Realtek chips, and may offer compatibility or a workaround for the RTL8127.
January 19Jan 19 Author Well that makes sense. For some reason I thought the 8127 was already supported. I'll give the plugin a shot and worse comes to worse, I'm ready for when 7.3 drops. Thanks!
April 13Apr 13 Community Expert Looks like unRAID 7.3 is on Linux kernel 6.18.20 which does have rtl8127/57 baked in.

Settings, Network, Interface Rules lists it as "R8169" (confirmed by matching MAC address), but Tools, System Devices, lists "RTL8127 10Gbe Controller (rev08)."7.3.0 rc1 fresh install, trial license. April 24Apr 24 Community Expert If my previous was correct then it should just work at the 10g speeds. If there's problems, maybe it's something being worked on... I do not know. Keep an eye on the rtl drivers in the apps. I don't see 8127 there currently, those normally work when available.
