OK, newest version of unmenu.awk, with lots of new features is here

http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2595.msg20982#new

unmenu.awk is officially out of "beta"

You can now define the content at the bottom of the main page.  I've put a syslog viewer there with the last 6 lines of syslog, but it can be any single web-page as it is rendered in an in-line-frame.  In fact, the page I used is a plug-in defined to not have a menu choice, not have a top status area, and not to have any listing on the top menu of any page. (The ADD_ON_MENU is defined as an empty string)

The syslog viewer now uses a configuration file of its own. (syslog_match.conf)  It also reads a second local configuration file to color code lines you define for locally installed packages. (syslog_user_match.conf)

The unmenu.conf can have a similar unmenu_local.conf file to override supplied definitions.  This way, local changes will never be overwritten by subsequent downloads of newer versions of unmenu.conf.

There is now a full package-manager plug-in, including per package auto-re-install-on-reboot (if you enable it)

Continued discussion, and beta development of changes to the unRAID Initial Page should probably be in this thread. The balance of the discussion of the unmenu.awk web-server can shift to the new thread in the User-customizations forum.   I expect the evolution will continue.

Thanks again to everybody for their ideas, contributions, and help in testing this unique "awk" script. It has come a LONG way.
