i have it on a ups.... i was just away for the weekend, thus it turned off

drkwtsn,

Have you tried the following:

1) Watch the hard drive read/write light on your PC server case panel or mobile racks. Do they flash when you power up or stay dark?

2) After you get the blinking cursor, can you telnet to the unRaid server? Can you log in?

3) Are the lights on the motherboard NIC RJ45 connector on or dark?

4) Are you going through a switch to get to the unRaid sever from your PC? Do you know that the LAN path from your PC to the unRaid server is okay?

Hope this might help.

I am unable to check these right now,and will check in the morning.... but does the new version boot up the same as the old? would i see something happening?

I tried doing //tower and pinging tower after booting it up... havent tried telneting into it yet...

i will try these in the AM

Since things worked before your power outtage, I'd suggest seeing if anything boots.  For example, hook up a CD drive and try to boot a Windows install disk, or any bootable disk you might have laying around.

will do Tomm, I actually planned on doing that when I got home from work by setting up another bootable USB device of  some sort to see if it worked
