Webgui missing

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need some help, if you dont mind.

I've had my Unraid server going for more than 1 month, but with out parity drive. My system is in my sign.  Problem started after adding a brand new 2GB Seagate as my parity drive (precleared). Putty still works, but no webgui for Simple features or Unmenu. If I unplugged the new parity drive, most of unmenu works except unRaid main web and simple features. In Unmenu is will now show parity missing (which is unplugged) and Disk 3 missing as well.... I have unplugged all cables to harddrives and even tried new sata cables on all of them but no joy?? Am I missing something stupid?? if someone can point me in the right direction i will appreciate it...

P.s I have even tried a second powersupply to test a theory on Disk3 that dissappeared.... ???

syslog-2013-01-27.txt

First thing to do is change to the latest RC (RC10).. And see it it still happens there.

According to this syslog, there are 4 drives found, the 2 2TB drives parity and Disk1, the 160GB drive for Disk 2, and an unattached 80GB drive.  They are connected to ports #2, #3, #4, and #6 of the 6 onboard SATA ports.  There is nothing connected to ports #1 and #5.  If you actually have the missing Disk3 (2TB drive) connected to one of those, then its power connection must not be connected, because the system does not see it at all.  Currently, the array looks fine, including the parity drive, except that Disk3 is missing and being emulated.

I can't help with the software issues, missing Gui's, as nothing looks wrong in the syslog, and you have plenty of memory (4GB).

Thanks I will try both ideas this afternoon after work and report back.

Kind Regards

Putty still works, but no webgui for Simple features or Unmenu.

Does the standard emhttp interface work (on port 80)?  Unmenu and Simple features are addons which are not supported by Limetech.  Approach the authors of those addons if you require support for them (or post in the 'User Customizations' area).

hi,

@Helmonder - copied files to flash and restarted - did not work  :(

@RobJ - Got a new GX430 PSU and still same problem  :(  - wanted an PSU for future upgrade, so got is early.

I have copied all the files from flash to folder on my laptop and started with a fresh copy of RC10. re-assigned all

harddrive and everything works perfect!!!  :) So safe to say its not hardware!?! must be software.... just for fun, removed flash, copied the backup from rc8 back on flash and problem re-appears!!

So I will continue with RC10 and get my addons re-installed... This is just another reason why I love unraid!!! did not loose a single bit of data!!

Dont like it if I have to start from a fresh install because the error is still out there but as if said all data is still there, unaffected.

Thanks Tom.

Thanks for the help guys.  ;)

What did not work ?  If you copied bzimage and bzroot to your flashdrive (overwriting the old ones) then you will be upgraded...

Yes first I tried just upgrading to rc10 but still had no  joy...then new psu and finally a fresh install on flash with no addons.....

Ah!

So upgrade worked but it did not help your issue, that I get. Indeed trying without plugins would be the next step.

Had a similar issue accessing the webui today.  Thought I was going bonkers!  I could see unmenu, and access via putty.

In the end it was my browser's cache.  I found I could access the webui by using the IP address of the server in the browser, but not Tower.

I cleared the cache off the browser (Chrome in my case) and it was all back to normal and I could access it with //Tower.  Phew.

Sorry helmonder for the confusion ...  :)

I did try the same as Lacehim, try with ip, but  I was not the lucky one  :(

Same Issue generally. Running rc11, and the webgui is MIA. I think the problem is heavy CPU load related. Unmenu is working, and my plugins are working (SB, SNZB, etc), and a parity check is running, I just can't load the normal gui.

Can access via telnet, and can actually access the array from client computer.

More likely OOM (out of memory) but without a syslog who knows?
