March 20, 201313 yr I'm considering buying it for my HTPC build since it's nice and small and can be left under the T.V. without it being an eyesore, however, I'm really confused about the PSU and GPU locations. I understand the GPU will be sticking upwards from the MOBO (Which is on the bottom of the case, near the back) and stretches across the wall of case, however, I'm confused about the PSU itself. Where does that go and how does it fit in? Can anyone take a top-down view of their build if they happen to have a build? It'd be really useful. Also, there's no good size specifications I can find for the distance of the PSU's mounting outline and the case's wall, how far is that? I'm trying to calculate how much space I'll have. EDIT:- Also, if you have a build, what PSU do you use? All the ones I'm considering seem to be > 6 inches long and apparently the case won't support them at that length if I have a 660 in it (That's also too long).
March 21, 201313 yr I just bought the 304 but it hasn't been delivered yet. So I've not seen it myself yet but I did a ton of research online before I did and from the reviews and forum build posts I've seen online I can tell you that the PSU goes in the front of the case underneath the hard drive hangers. There are some pics in the build thread that show it pretty well -- http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2301732 FYI, I'm going with a PC Power and Cooling Silencer MK III modular 400W (same as the guy who posted that build except his is 600W) although I wavered a long time between that and the Corsair CX430M which is a little shorter and would probably make placement of the GPU a little easier especially if you've got a long one. (I've got a low power board/cpu combo with integrated graphics so I don't need a GPU myself and wasn't concerned about that). Whatever PSU you choose to go with, one consistent piece of advice I've seen in nearly every review of the 304 is to get a modular. Hope that helps and good luck.

This image would have been exactly what I needed if he had removed the HDD mounts:- God dammit.
March 21, 201313 yr Author Google Image Search turns up a lot of photos for this case All of which are stock (E.G. no build inside of them, so, I can't determine where stuff goes or the scale of stuff, just an empty box), or, are in completely random angles which don't help me. Unless you can prove me wrong, if so, feel free to post a few links.
March 21, 201313 yr Author Lots of photos in this review I saw that one, however, all of them were taken on the side of the graphics card so you can't see anything, just a big graphics card's fans in the way. Either that or they were just focusing on one component, which, isn't what I want, I want a face down view of everything.
March 26, 201313 yr Hope my pictures help a bit. I've put 6 reds in it, using the X7SPA-H-D525-O Mainboard and it's all powered by a 350Watt be quiet PSU.
March 26, 201313 yr I use the 304 for my main television pc. I've got the intel dh77df, mssd and 3 intel 120g ssds. I use the fabless seasonic ss400-fl2. Super quiet and fast. I picked the i3-3225 for the 4000 series video. It's awesome. I found there's no need for a video card. I put 8 gig of memory in this rig and so far I've absolutely 0 problems. The only thing my wife complains about is the white hd led so I just disconnected it.

November 13, 20169 yr Is there a practical way to put 2.5" HDDs in the 3.5" drive cages in this case? It it possible to get more than two in each cage?
November 13, 20169 yr For small cases, there's a one word answer to providing plenty of working room around the power supply: SFX Silverstone and Corsair both make several excellent SFX models with modular connectors that provide up to 600w.

If this was in reply to my question about 2.5" drives in the 3.5" bays, the concern isn't size as it is the unique mounting style of the drive bays in this case. Certainly I could stick 2.5" drives just about anywhere as this case is rather large and 2.5" drives are tiny, but I'm interested in maintaining the easy access of the 3.5" drive bay mounts of this case.
November 16, 20169 yr Is there a practical way to put 2.5" HDDs in the 3.5" drive cages in this case? It it possible to get more than two in each cage? There are mount holes in the drive cages for 2.5" drives. I'm using them without an issue.
November 16, 20169 yr I'm using a 304 as a HTPC, so there isn't much going on inside of it. It'd be easy for me to snap a couple pics and post them later this evening. EDIT: Here you go.
