Hello, by default, where is your swap file? Do I need to change it?  Do I need to change swap file size?

Thanks

I did not change anything about swap file neither location nor size. It depends to your usage and your ram. I have 4gb ram and i use mysql for xbmc database (800 movies, 2000-3000 episodes of tv series and some music files)

Whenever I try to apply a setting, I get this error:

Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/mysql/mysqlctl.php on line 78

Hello,

I am revisiting on setting up MySQL on my unRAID system. I need to rebuild my Virtual Host and need to move the database from the VM to unRAID. I have your plugin installed and running. But I am not able to get the XBMC system to connect. Here is what I see in the error log:

Is there something I need to change or check?

Trying this one out too, at first had the same problem when trying to start manually with /etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld:

"Error! the server quit without updating pid file (/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid)"

Noticed there was no /etc/my.cnf file created. Tried again with Enable MySQL: Yes and hitting "Apply". Suddenly started as indicated by the instructions:

7) click apply (this should start your myqsl server if you choose "Enable MySQL:" "Yes")

Just posting for others like me who assume hitting "Save" followed by "Start" the first time will do the trick. Reading the instructions does help sometimes ...
