February 20, 201412 yr Author So I installed the new psu tonight, changed the setting I posted the screenshot of to AHCI and booted in safemode and in normal mode, not maintenance. I let it run for 40 minutes and captured a syslog and a screenshot of the web gui. I did nothing else. I'm going to power down the server for now and I'll power it back up as instructed. syslog.txt
February 20, 201412 yr SATA IDE Combined mode needs to be disabled in BIOS. Use the technique described here on disk3: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5072.msg47037#msg47037 If that doesn't work we can try to rebuild it's contents.
February 20, 201412 yr Author I ran those commands but I'm not sure what I'm looking at or for. I turned SATA IDE Combined mode off and they all switched to the AHCI now. I uploaded the results to those commands and a syslog. I didnt start the array. syslog.txt New_Text_Document.txt
February 20, 201412 yr Does unRAID Main look the same when the array is started? The partition is not correct. I don't know how to fix a GUID partition. Ask Joe L. for help.
February 20, 201412 yr Author Yes, the unRAID Main looks the same Thank you for your help dgaschk. I've pm'd Joe L. I'll wait for his response. I'm going to power it back down in the meantime.
February 20, 201412 yr Meanwhile you can try to rebuild the disk on the new drive. Install the new drive and leave the current disk3 in place to wait for Joe L. You can put the disk in a PC and run recovery software as a last resort. Assign the new disk as disk3 to rebuild. See here for rebuild method: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=30009.0
February 20, 201412 yr Author I have it running. The rebuild that is. Hopefully that will rebuild it and I can get life back to normal. Does this look promising in your experience?
February 20, 201412 yr Look in the disk3 share. The disk and its contents should be accessible via share.
February 20, 201412 yr Author The rebuild information you provided me showed to start the array in maintenance mode. So I'm not sure if the share is available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

February 21, 201412 yr Author Well the rebuild finished. I then ran reiserfsck --check /dev/md3 on the and it didnt find any errors. I then ran a parity check set to correct errors. It didnt find any. I stopped the array in maintenance mode, started it up in normal mode and my new drive was recovered. dgaschk you saved the day. Thanks man!!!! Gonna shut it down and tidy up all my wires now. Thanks for everyone that helped out.

Thanks for everyone that helped out. Be careful over tidying up SATA cables. If you tie unshielded SATA cables tightly together, you may cause cross-talk problems between cables. (Most cables will be unshieded unless you specifically looked for and purchased the shielded ones!)
February 21, 201412 yr Author I definitely didn't buy shielded cables. I don't think i've ever heard of them actually. I don't normally tie the sata cables as much as I do the power cables. I just try to route the sata cables where they need to go more than anything. Thanks for the heads up though. ATM I'm having problems getting all my plugins working again. Gonna keep messing with it for a bit then I'm going to bed.
February 21, 201412 yr Author It seems that all of my apps are working except couchpotato. I will leave it up without that for the night.
February 21, 201412 yr It seems that all of my apps are working except couchpotato. I will leave it up without that for the night. I'm guessing its the port issue being discusses here starting around post 2483 - http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=21260.2475 Basically the plg is putting the port and directory info in the wrong area in the config file.
February 21, 201412 yr Author It could be this issue. I'll follow that thread and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up.
