January 27, 201511 yr I already rebooted the server, same issue. Cache drive is: Export: Yes, Security: Public. I used to go to \\tower\cache\downloads....for example.... Now I have to type \\tower\downloads, else I would get a "windows cannot access ................I am confused see the following images. I Don't really get the images either, but a folder named downloads at the top level of the cache drive is automatically considered a user share named downloads. If you don't configure the settings of the downloads share, then it gets default settings, which I believe includes public access and includes all disks.
January 27, 201511 yr Author I had written something different related to the pics...forgot to change them.I am not home now.. the point is this....Initially I created "downloads" in cache....set it to cache only...movies downloaded would go there...once downloaded, I would scrap them...in the cache share would create a folder Media/Movies and place the movie in there. Automatically will show in Movies share and xbmc will show it in the library. Mover would move it later. At that time, cache would show apps...appdata....download folders. NOW...if I do it...the Media folder does not get moved...nor xbmc will see it. Sickbeard, for example...seems to be in /mnt/user/appdata instead of /mnt/cache/appdata....that is what the pics show
January 28, 201511 yr But /mnt/cache/appdata is a user share called appdata, and so it will also be seen in /mnt/user/appdata. Can you telnet or console and use mc to browse the drives and folders directly on unRAID instead of trying to look at them from Windows or through the webGUI? Or just post the results of ls -al /mnt/user and ls -al /mnt/cache for starts and we can go from there.

If you set that share to be able to use the cache drive, mover will put it into the array. Have XBMC look for files in that share. Let unraid handle the details of whats going onto the cache automatically (via the share settings)

I also took another shot of MC showing what is inside of cache...and from windows....various computers in the house.....cache shows empty. The array is working fine, all plugins are working as they should, I can "live" with the way it is right now, but it should not be that way...it was not that way before.....and I am afraid that the problem might worsen later on.
January 28, 201511 yr Just to see if everything from the duplicate "cache" share is gone, can you do this: ls -al /mnt/user/cache
January 28, 201511 yr You still have a folder /mnt/user/cache, but you don't have a folder /mnt/cache/cache. This means that one or more of your other drives has a folder named cache, possibly put there by mover, and so you still have a user share named cache, which is what you are seeing from Windows. It looks like it is probably empty. Go look at all of the other drives in mc and find any folder named cache (/mnt/disk1/cache, /mnt/disk2/cache, etc) and after verifying they are empty, delete them. Then you will no longer have a user share named cache. Just be sure you don't delete /mnt/cache, which is your cache drive.

Deleted both "cache" folders. Tried \\tower\cache...nothing. Rebooted the server and ......back in business, everything is back to normal. Thank you for saving my life again trurl.
