I somehow deleted a folder full of photos; no obvious 'recycle bin'; restorable?

I have no idea what happened.  From inside Windows 8, I tried cutting/pasting files from one folder to another.  The folder I tried pasting to is now just gone, and the files I tried copying are still where there were before this happened.

 

I KNOW I didn't hit delete on that folder, nor would I have agreed to the warning to delete all the files, so I'm just not sure what happened.

 

Any way to get a recycle bin working with unRAID in case this happens again?

I think this is only for when you explicitly delete something over SMB. Since you don't know what happened probably would not have saved you.

 

Could it be the user share copy bug?
