Mediatower kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted

Featured Replies

Hello!

I recently had to use a monitor on my server, and came over this message when booting the server:

May 21 19:33:55 Mediatower kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck.

This seems to happen on every boot so i guess something isn't getting done correctly.

Any idea what sda1 is?, and how do i run a fsck to ensure its not corrupted data on the drive?

Im running unraid 5.0.5 (haven't upgraded in a while  :-X)

Im going to attach my syslog if anyone want to check.

Any help or information is appreciated :)

After searching for the similar error message on the forums, i found a post that described the same problem i had.

I used my windows machine to do a diskcheck on the USB drive and it scanned and fixed the problem. There is no error message anymore on boot :)
