UnFire? ☺️

My first idea was unToasty or unToasted :)

"Stop being unCool" ?

But I prefer unToasty to unFire, maybe less scary. :)

I personally like UnFire myself.  Certainly better than UnOven, UnCool, UnBBQ, UnLava et al.

Either way, this plugin may become the UnSun hero for some people in 2020/2021

I have actually gone ahead and added this as an extra option in the Parity Check Tuning plugin as this ends up both being a logical place to put this option and also the least work for me.  A parity check or other long running array operation is also probably the most likely thing to trigger such a level of overheating.  Despite the name of the plugin if you activate this option it will apply regardless of whether any long running array operation is currently in progress.

The shutdown option is now available in the version of the Parity Check Tuning plugin i released today.

I would be interested in any feedback on how I have implemented it or any issues found trying to use the shutdown feature.
