tucansam
Under Windows, my server is visible for browsing under Network Places/My Network/Network Neighborhood/whatever. I don't want this. I simply want to map the network shares I need, and otherwise keep the server invisible from prying eyes. How can I make the server not appear for clients unless a drive is specifically mapped? Thanks. Link to comment
sadkisson
Shares -> Select Share -> SMB Security Settings -> Export -> Yes (Hidden) Link to comment
BRiT
Even with that, the server itself still shows up under Network. Link to comment
tucansam
Yep. Any fix maybe involving the samba config file? I don't want the server advertised, not just the shares.... Link to comment
