wedge22
Is there anyway to recover data from my cache drive, it failed and after multiple reboots would not load back up, I replaced it with a new SSD and formatted the drive but I see no way to backup the appdata and docker information from my original cache. gundamguy
Was it BTRFS before and was it part of a Cache Pool? If not the answer is likely no. There is no way restore the data stored only on that one drive. Link to comment
wedge22
No it was a single cache drive not part of a pool. I am going to try and remove it from the machine and see if I can grab the data off it another way then. I guess I can just setup all my Dockers again along with all the appdata. Link to comment
wedge22
Ok I managed to get the original drive booted and online in the array and I have copied the appdata and docker.img onto my share under a cache.copy folder. I read on the wiki that I should just be able to copy this data back across to my new cache drive once installed and that should restore all the missing information. Link to comment
trurl
What exactly do you mean by this? I managed to get the original drive booted and online in the array... Do you mean you were able to get the original drive recognized in the cache slot again? Or do you mean something else? Link to comment
wedge22
Yes I managed to get the original drive online and used MC to copy the appdata folder to my disk share, I then added a new SSD for the cache and copied the info back over and its all working. Link to comment
