JWMutant
Ok Ill start backwards as it is going to make more sense that way. I can now Remote desktop into my new Windows 10 Pro VM when the PC Im am connecting from is under the local account. Fist Punch the air!!!! However this was only after banging my head against the wall trying to work out why it kept saying the credentials where incorrect. You see I was trying to RDP from my PC to my VM while my pc was logged in under my Microsoft account and not my local account. Is it just me? Can someone explain why I can login when I am using a local account but not when I am using a M$ account? Can someone even confirm that I am not going round the bend and probably need some sleep? Jencryzthers
Sounds like an issue with the domains. If you want to use your local account instead of your microsoft account. Try using this in the username field: "\{username}" this should switch and use the local authentication domain. Quote Link to comment
SpaceInvaderOne
Use the domain\username in rdp (the NetBIOS form of providing credentials) Quote Link to comment
